Noons either was too stationary or Jorge is just that quick.
I don't mind Jorge/Gil at all. One more fight before going to the UFC Gil.
Is Jorge gonna be able to keep Gil off him? I don't know. I don't think so. Jorge's instincts are top notch though.Comment

Watch Rogers catch Barnett...
I'm just so glad we get to see all of these great HW's in America. And soon all will be in the same league.Comment

OKayyyy, Rogers is officially not that great, if it wasn't official before.
Glad Barnett showed great skill and power.Comment

Barnett looked like he wasn't even trying. Also Rogers looked liked he had no idea what he was doing on the ground. Easily letting Barnett to pass straight to mount and somehow spinning himself down into mount.
Barnett has the easiest road in this Grand Prix. Rogers was the worst fighter in the tournament and he should be able to take Kharitonov down and sub him. Still never understood why the 4 best fighters are on one side of the bracket.Last edited by Sandman42; 06-18-2011, 10:38 PM.Member of The OS Baseball Rocket Scientists AssociationComment

I think it's safe to say Rogers was never really as good as people thought. Sure, a nice brawler with some power, but nothing else. I mean, it's a good thing he hasn't lost to some scrub, but he's just not that good.Comment

Rogers has no clue, and it just makes Fedor look even worse IMO.
Well I sort of like how they put the best fighters on one side, it guaranteed us at least a number of great matchups. Plus a final of Overeem/Werdum/Silva vs. Barnett is still awesome.Comment

Re: Strikeforce: Overeem vs. Werdum, June 18th on Showtime
Barnett cuts a promo better than over half the WWE roster. Nice to have a personality like him in MMA though.
I really want to see how he does in the UFC. It's a shame his prime years were wasted either doing pro wrestling in Japan or getting caught on steroids.Member of The OS Baseball Rocket Scientists AssociationComment

His biggest UFC hurdle is getting licensed in CA. Oh and staying off the roids.Comment

Barnett will still probably have some issues with getting a license outside of anywhere but Texas.
I'm not really impressed though with him beating Rogers and most likely beating Sergei next too, but it would be nice to see him back in the UFC.Comment
