Nick Diaz primetime was pretty darn good. Dude had it rough, very rough. So that would explain the way he acts.

Damn, I don't want to wait until next week for the third episode. I enjoyed this one as much as I did the first one. GSP seemed like he really wants a piece of Diaz in his segment at the end. I really hope Nick beats Condit so we can still get that fight down the road.

GSP telling the truth about the street fight thing? Lol

"He acts crazy, but he's not crazy. It's fake, it's a fake crazy. I'm not afraid of him. He doesn't know where I come from, he doesn't know what I've been through. I've probably had more street fights than he's ever had in his life. Nick Diaz deserves to be beat down. A guy like him should not be a champion."

he was bullied too, that's why he got put in Karate lessons. He was a garbage man in montreal for a while too. His family was never well off either, which to me doesn't really matter as a factor for fighters being talented or having heart etc.

So he was a garbage man, and now it's time to take out the trash! lol jk

The difference is Georges was raised in an excellent way by his parents and shows that by the way he conducts himself today. Some people think it's a facade, but I'm telling you it isn't. That's who he is, so the fact that some people hate him I find repugnant.

            Saturday is so far away

Cesar had an interview with Ariel today and he said he wouldn't want Diaz to defend his interim title if they were to get past Condit. I agree 100% with him. I want to see Diaz GSP no matter what.

He may be forced to. GSP won't be ready until the fall. No matter what Dana says. The UFC is going to need main events in May/June/July.

                Haha so awesome.

Can't wait for this fight! i'm wondering if they're going to do one of those Undisputed 3 Fight Prediction simulations for this. Those have actually proved to be pretty consistent, I think they've only predicted incorrectly on one fight (Valasquez vs. JDS). i'm gonna start putting money on those lol

So true. After GSP said "Nick Diaz deserves to get beat down." I got chills. This is probably the fight I look forward to the most in 2012.

I would stick behind Diaz if he did something foolish if Dana decided to "force" Nick to fight someone else.

This would include Nick moving to MW, or Nick possibly quitting the UFC.

That would be BS though. Lets say GSP can't fight until September. That means the belt would be on the shelf for 9 mos. Thats inexcusible. GSP just started his rehab a month ago for an injury that takes most people 9-12 mos to heal. The reason this is for the interim title is because GSP's timeline is uncertain and now Diaz wants to put the belt on the shelf for 8-9 mos or more?

If GSP could be back June/July, then I could maybe understand. Its not like there aren't any contenders. If Ellenberger beats Sanchez in 2 weeks, he could be in line for a shot. Same goes for Johny Hendricks. ****, Diaz v. Ellenberger could headline the next Fox fight night.

I'm interested to see what the new intro looks like. I know MMA instructor Hovig Tchaderian filmed some scenes in the ACC that should be in the new intro.

It would just be a huge disappointment if Diaz had to defend his interim title, supposing he even gets past Condit...

I wouldn't necessarily want Diaz to quit the UFC or anything but I would definitely not be mad at him for however he reacts to defending an interim title.

Personally I would love to see Diaz take on a Josh Kos or Sanchez II or Ellenberger. There are a lot of WW's but the match up that he's been waiting for is GSP

The money fight is Diaz vs St. Pierre.

Dana will make that fight happen and not risk Diaz getting beat by Ellenberger or some other WW contender.

Too much money is at stake and it's a smart move by Cesar Gracie to say that if they beat Condit, they want GSP and no one else. The hype has been laid down since October. Too much of a risk for Diaz, not enough of a reward. Consider that Nick is usually pretty active anyway and he might need the time to heal up if Condit vs Diaz turns out to be a 5 round war for the ages.

Dont buy that for a second, if he thought that way then Sonnen wouldnt have been fighting Stann or Bisping as we all know a fight with Anderson sells better then a fight between Anderson and Bisping. I think Dana has the thought process that if youre good enough to fight for the title then taking a fight while waiting shouldnt be a problem as you should be able to win it regardless on top of the fact that he thinks fighters not taking fights while waiting is a bad decision as well.

                                Exactly.

Also this isnt the UFC of old where there is one PPV a month. We have a May UFC on Fox card that needs a main event. A Memorial Day card that needs a main event.

Sonnen/Silva is set for June so thats out. Cruz/Faber 3 is set for July so thats out. Jones/Evans is in late April. You maybe could have an Edgar fight in May but thats pushing it. Aldo/Hioki or Korean Zombie wont work.

You only have Overeem v. Dos Santos in May and thats complicated by Junior's injury and Overeem's arrest. The only way this works is if Junior/Overeem is a go for Memorial Day and you do something like Velasquez/Mir as the May 5 headliner (could work because of Mexican independence day). Also GSP would need to be back by Labor Day at the latest.
