Re: UFC on Fox 2 - Sonnen v. Munoz - Jan 28 - Chicago
Wasn't Silva supposed to out until start of 2012 and White has confirmed many times that Sonnen vs Silva is on??? I actually don't want to see Sonnen vs Munoz but I'll watch it anywaysComment

I thought so, but he is out longer and Sonnen didn't want to sit and wait for him.Cincinnati Reds University of Kentucky Cincinnati Bengals

Re: UFC on Fox 2 - Sonnen v. Munoz - Jan 28 - Chicago
Who has reported this?
If it's true, it's an interesting choice. I don't necessarily think Sonnen/Munoz would be a boring fight style wise, but it shows that Dana doesn't care about "big names" on FOX cards. Sanchez and Sonnen are kinda fringe names but not too big.
As far as the actual fights definitely sticking with Sonnen by decision and Ellenberger by TKO.Comment

It looks like Evans vs. Davis is the main event according to Brett Okamoto.Comment

Phil Davis has received a lot of hype, but I'm not sold on the guy yet. Rashad is a better version of him and he should handle his business. Hopefully once he takes care of Mr. Wonderful he'll finally get his title shot.Comment

I'm so confused.
I don't get why Rashad has to fight someone. It's hilarious that he's had like three title shots only to go down with injury, then have to fight a new opponent to get the shot back.
And then now no Sonnen v Munoz? What's the dealComment

Re: UFC on Fox 2 - Sonnen v. Munoz - Jan 28 - Chicago
I'm thinking Rashad just wants to stay active at this point. If he was that concerned about the title I'm assuming he could just wait on the Machida/Jones winner. I don't see why he wouldn't be next in line, unless the UFC let Hendo jump over him (which wouldn't surprise me).
If he has really accepted this fight, I guess he's not too worried about possibly losing his shot. I'm a big fan of Rashad, so nothing would make me happier than seeing him take the title again.Last edited by Pappy Knuckles; 11-30-2011, 02:38 AM.Comment

Evans didn't want to wait until the Spring to fight Bones. I think Sonnen/Munoz could still be the co-main.Comment

Ugh, I hate it, but I agree w/ you here. I just don't get the hype w/ Davis. And as much as I don't like Rashad, he's been a proven winner.Originally posted by MoJust once I'd like to be the one they call a jerk off.Originally posted by MoYou underestimate my lazinessOriginally posted by Mo**** ya

Depends. I think Phil Davis can win this, but Rashad looked amazing at 133, albeit it was against Tito.
Sonnen-Munoz will probably look like Okami-Munoz, but I hope Munoz knocks his head off into Dana's lap.
It would be interesting if Anderson was there again and Sonnen won.Cincinnati Reds University of Kentucky Cincinnati Bengals

With it being on Fox, I wonder if Sonnen will go ape**** crazy again after he wins.
It would be a damn shame if
1. Rashad lost
2. Sonnen lost
There's no way I want to see Munoz v Anderson instead of Sonnen v Anderson
There's no way I want to see anyone but Rashad get the next crack at Jon JonesComment

I will bet my house that if Sonnen wins, he will have a 30 min monologue about Anderson Silva. Its a can't lose situation for Dana. If Munoz wins, its probably by KO and now he has a new middleweight contender with a string of KOs who KO'd a guy on national TV. If Sonnen wins, it may be a boring fight but his post fight speech will be classic and introduce the rest of the world to Sonnen.
I still feel terrible for Rashad. I don't like him, but he just keeps getting screwed it seems. I am hoping for another Davis sub though :/Cincinnati Reds University of Kentucky Cincinnati Bengals
