Would be a bad loss for Cain since his teammate already beat that dude up.

IDK about this match up in this point in time...

I can't think of a better match for Cain off the top of my head... but yeah

I hope that isn't the main event, and if it is it won't sell well most likely. I think Cain will win this in the same way Cormier did.

          April 21st in Atlanta

Considering Atlanta is a pretty big city I'm surprised the UFC didn't come back sooner.

I hope this isn't the main event either. I live in South Carolina and this is probably the closest the UFC will come to where I live.

Why isn't Cain fighting Frank Mir for the next title shot? I didn't think that Cain should be 2 fights away from a title shot.

A KO loss typically equals two more wins for a title rematch. Unless you are Brock Lesnar.

In divisions other than HW though. HW is so thin, its not like there are multiple guys waiting title shots. Its Overeem, and then either Cain or Mir.

Cormier and Barnett would likely need to win at least 2 fights to get title shots when they come over from Strikeforce.

I think Barnett could get one with a win over Cormier and one more UFC win. Especially because he has been stopping people. By mid year, we could have guys like Nelson, Barnett, Werdum and Cormier one win away from a title shot.

Add to that the likelihood that Dos Santos and Overeem won't fight until May at the earliest. That gives the UFC plenty of time to build new HW contenders.

Maybe Jon Jones returns to the octagon here? He said he wanted to fight in 3 months.

                        ?

I don't think this match up made any sense to begin with, I hope they don't bother rescheduling this one.

They getting to ambitious with the amount of cards? Seems like it.

When see you Neer and Ludwig in the co-main event, that's a sign you're running too many cards.

I actually think you can have too much MMA. It feels like there is a fight card almost every week. I'm starting to lose interest in watching the prelims unless it features guys I really want to see.

A number of my friends of all ages tell me the same thing. I personally can't get enough of MMA, but I understand to a point where they're coming from.

I guess it's rumored that Cain might instead face Frank Mir for a probable next title shot.

I think we are just on a run of cards. From January to March, there are 7 UFC cards (8 if you count SF). From March to May there are only 2 (3 if you count the SF card). It ebbs and flows.
