I wish you could just set CAF attributes to whatever you want from the jump. It would make the whole process a lot easier. Having to go through career mode every time I want to boost their stats seems like a pain in the ***. I haven't tried career mode yet though, so I'll probably give it a shot to see how this thing works. Maybe it's not as bad as it seems.

Does anyone know anything about the boost packs? How many additional points are you given? How high can your fighter be rated? I don't necessarily want to spend a lot of money on this, but if the CAF looks good enough I don't mind biting the bullet.

Besides being a money grab, I assume part of the reason they did things this way is to prevent people from having super fighters online. However, for those who just want to expand the roster, it definitely sucks.

You don't have to got through Career mode every time. I did one career mode and built up my fighter to a 90. I also did it to so I could unlock all of the gear like Affliction and Tapout. Because of the Super CAF Glitch, I never have to go through Career Mode again. Also because of the Glitch, I can create a fighter that can be rated up to 96.

Other than the boost being an expensive money grab, its not bad. You can get a fighter up to an 84 using the boost by itself. Still I plan to use all forty slots and wasn't trying to spend an extra 120 bucks just to make realistic fighters.

I suck online. Like 1-6. I'm good on my fight, fun jabbing the hell out of guys trying to throw bombs. Once a guy get a takedown on me, I usually get TKO'd soon after. Weird, b/c against the CPU, I can handle myself on the ground, but struggle standing up.

With the boost pack you still can't get as high as the elite roster guys. Not enough points to give your guy with 90 in all categories or even 85 in all categories.

I found this out days ago when I did the boost pack route. So basically the only way to make your guy in top 5 for their division ratings wise is the career mode route.

Keyword being RATINGS not over all number.

I think I screwed myself with career mode by doing auto train.

I hate doing freaking mini games.

No you didn't. You get less then 2 numbers from the max off of auto train. So if you do all 48 fights in your career, you will still have enough points to make a powerful CAF.

Mark Hunt is a beast. Too bad he had a drinking problem that derailed his career because if he stayed focus, he could have been heavyweight champ. He has KO power and pretty damn good kicks too.

I think it is kind of funny Mark Hunt and some of the other Pride heavyweights are really good in K1, but in MMA, for one reason or another either it be drinking too much or drugs, they lost their focus and never made it to their full potential.

They need sim stamina for ranked so bad. I just fought a guy online with my career fighter. I have 95 cardio, he had anderson silva which I am not sure what his cardio is but he threw 190 punches to my 77 and had more stamina than me. He still had 88 stamina left after 3 rounds. REDONKULAS!!!!

On top of their completely useless servers online is very frustrating right now. 8 out 10 games drop for me all day today. I have more games drop than I got finished.

Yeah with default stamina settings you can spam punches, kicks and submissions all day long. That is something I noticed during the alpha testing and it is still that way in the full version of the game. Don't matter what your cardio rating is, you can spam all day.

OK guys, for the stricly offline gamer, how is this game? I really enjoyed 2009, but only played 2010 for a week b/c it was such a step back from 2009.

How you do that? I can't seem to make it work my caf finished at a 87

Do these steps:

Load your retired career fighter. Edit something of his (I edited his fighting out of in basic information). Overwrite save.

Load up that fighter again, he should NOT be under retired fighters. Go to show all CAfs. He'll be listed as a "retired fighters". Fighter Abilities should still NOT be available. Go to finish and create NEW SAVE. (note you dont have to edit anything)

That new CAF should now be a listed as a "CAF Mode CAF". Load him up now. Completely editable. You can redistribute stats/attributes and technique. He'll only have 12000 technique points available TOTAL (minus whatever moves your career caf had, you can edit them). You can edit name/weightclass/etc etc.

99% of my time with this game has been offline and I'm loving it. Between exhibition matches, tournaments and Event Mode I've already put in 18 hours of match time. Like you, I really enjoyed 2009. I was so soured with 2010 that I didn't even bother to pick it up. I don't see any reason why you wouldn't have fun playing this until the next one comes out. The gameplay is solid, the roster is fairly deep, Pride Mode is great, and Advanced/Sim provides some good battles. I think you should check it out myself.

Hmmm that I don't know, online been so bad that you lucky you can get a connection long enough to even go into the online camps.

Can't copy those stats into a fighter share fighter. I copy the caf and edit him into a new fighter.
