    Career Mode help

I thought I'd start a thread in hopes we could get some discussion going on how to best progress thru career mode. I'm a newbie to the series so I'm having some issues. I'm a MW, on exp level, with sim fatigue.

While I am 14-0 I'm now to the point where I'm only a 68 OVR and I'm only being offered fights with guys in the 80's. So while yes I am undefeated I have really just been getting lucky in the last few fights with landing some good counter striking and finally catching guys for KO's.

I made my guys base as a wrestler. But when I try to take guys down I can't do much on the ground and get caught in sub attempts constantly even though I'm trying to block them while down. I'm not sure if my ground game sucks or if this is just because I'm at such a stats disadvantage now.

    So I'm curious:
    1. How is your career going? What weight division, style, etc.
    2. How long did you stay in WFA?
    3. How do you mainly train? Training sessions and Gameplans, camp and gameplans, etc? I am absolutely terrible at the training sessions so I just have to do auto.

    Re: Career Mode help

Once you take that first UFC fight, i believe you're done with WFA. I stayed until i got the title and defending it about 5 times. Can't stay too long because you don't earn much CRED and your fighting time is limited to a certain amount of fights.

I'm baffled that you can KO guys on expert when you're a 68 overall, fighting guys in the 80's.

I am baffled as well. I am on advance and every "UFC" fight I am in I get knocked out or submitted in the first round. I am using Forrest Griffin and he is currently a 75.

I think I spent to much time in the camp training though trying to learn and level up moves. I think I should have spent more time in the training drills. I am terrible at the training drills so I am just using auto. I think I need to suck it up and just spend time getting better at them so I can get better then 2 stars using the auto feature.

Sorry guys, not playing on expert. I'm playing on experienced. No way I could hang on expert. Since that post I've lost a few. I've lost to Yushin Okami, Chael Sonnen, and Anderson.

I am 23-3 currently and only a 72 overall. I feel I should be better overall by now but I don't know. I've quit using the gameplan and started just doing 2 training sessions before my fights. I'll do a camp session every once in a while.

Next time I'm going to give it a go on advanced level as I have read your guy progresses better the higher the difficulty you use.
