Anyone know how to do the single leg takedown, where u basically dropdown an get your opponent in a firemans carry an flip them over your back? Thanks

Unless you have really damaged their legs, or have a TD rating like 30 points higher than their TDD, you are not gonna get it. But if you play against a dummy controller, and spin the everlasting hell out of the stick, it will work. My suggestion for the special takedowns, is if you land it as a timed Takedown on a strike, called a short Takedown in the game, that it be patched to automatically do the special Takedown.

Matt, does the success if the take down actually depend on how fast you are spinning the right stick? been wondering how to approach that matter for a while now..

Yes. Unless I have someone with ridiculous TD stats or fighting someone with poor TDD. I try to time the short Takedown, or get them from the clinch.

ahh ok so is all abt speed.. was thinking before maybe they have to be perfectly circular or all the exact same speed or perhaps its gotta be exactly 1 circle or some nonsense like that

When I first got the game I did it with Rashad after I rocked the CPU. I think I did it once with Hughes to but lately I can't do it at all. Even if I have murdered their legs they still do the regular takedowns. It's so frustrating to me.

I jus tried Hughes flip over the back single vs hardy. Could never execute it no matter what if I damaged his legs all he would do is go for the single an then get a reg takedown. I went to practice put the CPU on no action an could do it. Then switched to beginner an he went right back to doin a regular takedown . Can someone explain that please?

Ok what i found out last night. once by fluke it did a special takedown on the counter. But if your opponen'ts stamina was dead and you killed the hell out of the shine, you got the special takedown out of the struggle.

Can u figure out how to do it vs the CPU? Like I said I use to b able to do it but now it jus does a reg takedown. I did notice it's a level 3 takedown. What's that mean though?

This was vs the CPU. Get them gassed, and fast clean rotations on the stick. It's actually more trouble than its worth.

Hmmn. Everytime I do that he goes for the single but then finishes with jus a reg takedown. Sux bc I feel like I'm losing on half the games animations.

Start spinning as soon as you shoot. But switch the grip on your controller so the stick is in your palm. Spin fast and clean, if they are gassed, you should get the special takedown straight to side control. But it is way more trouble than its worth.
