Dissapointed its happening so soon but I guess they feel Pettis isn't ready. I have a feeling that this will be UFC 149 in Calgary in mid July.

Lame. It's going to be a good fight and everything, but I really wasn't trying to see another immediate rematch. I guess Pettis will fight the winner of Miller/Diaz and that will determine the next title contender.

This is another example of why fighters should be vocal. I don't know if Edgar gets the rematch if he kept his mouth shut rather than calling out for a rematch on the MMA Hour.

This is also another example of not believing everything that comes out of Dana's mouth. A fan asked him at the Fox 3 press conference today if the winner of Diaz and Miller would get the next title shot and he said yes. A few hrs later it's no longer the case.

Yeah, I feel the same way - I never heard Edgar's thoughts on all the questions his way 'is he moving down' etc.

But even though I think there is room in rare cases for immediate rematches, it also kind of negates the whole 'never leave it in the hands of the judges' mantra that Dana preaches - because it's like 'never leave it in their hands...but if you do...don't worry...because we'll give you a rematch'.

I'd like to hear lorenzo's and dana's comments as to why they made the decisions to skip over pettis especially considering he has a win over BH.

I think this sucks for Pettis. Will he be like Rashad, promised title/ shots but can't get it?
