    Pride question

I have 0 knowledge on who fights with Pride. Last Thursday(19th) night I was at a Buffalo Wild Wings and there was a fight on that I want to try and find online. Have no idea who it was though. It was a heavyweight fight, one of them looked oriental and the other wore american flag shorts and looked like Tom Selleck. They exchanged some hellacious blows at the beginning and the American guy ended up winning.

    *Edit*
Found it by googling "pride FC fighter that looks like tom selleck"

Sometimes Don Frye looked like Dan Severn, who looked like Freddie Mercury. It's like they exchange faces.

I'd suggest watching some old pride matches. Wanderlai Silva was a mad man. Rampage was a beast, except when fighting Wanderlai. Big Nog was the man. Fedor was building himself up. Mark Hunt was fun to watch. I could keep going, I absolutely love Pride and would probably take it over UFC today.

The Correct answer is: "FRYE vs. TAKAYAMA"

Classic hockey fight, both guys going for broke on short notice.

Ahhh Frye vs The Hawtness. Classic stuff. That was one of the many things that made Pride great, the wild slugfests and the freak show fights. It had that pro wrestling side show attraction with the benefit of being a real fight(usually) sprinkled in with matches with guys like Big Nog, Fedor, Saku, and the other guys that fought with pure skill and technique. Ive trained combat sports my whole life and I'm 39. Been watching UFC since the beginning and was getting bootleg WVC, BVF, and IVC events since the mid 90s long before anyone in America ever heard of Wanderlei Silva, Pedro Rizzo, Pele Landi-Jons and a prime juiced up Mark Kerr and I just have to say MMA just isnt, "fun" like it use to be.
