I mean, I guess. I wouldn't particularly care to see him do this, I'd rather see him go up.

But if this is his way of prolonging his career, so be it.

I dont care if he goes up if he wont fight Jones. Shoot, there are 2 people at 205 that he wont fight...Jones and Machida.

Machida is actually thinking about dropping to MW as well. It'd be quite funny if Silva dropped down & GSP moved up.

It's been a while since he's fought at that weight, I wonder if he can still make that cut without issues. I guess he knows what he'd be getting into. I'd much rather see him fight Bones or keep beating up on guys at 185, but it is what it is. Hopefully GSP doesn't announce that he's moving to 155 if Anderson makes the move lol.

I highly doubt GSP could get down to LW.

Yeah, it seems like a stretch to me too, but I remember Firas Zahabi talking a bit about the possibility of that move last year.

It'd be interesting. Isn't there a lot more wrestlers/ground fighters in WW?

No more then Middleweight or any other weight class. Nowadays there is no such thing a wrestling dominated division, since even wrestlers now prefer to stand and bang.

Looking at the top tier of each class. (I will probably miss someone)

                    MW: Munoz/Weidman/Shields/Sonnen/Boestch
                    WW: GSP/Ellenberger/Hendricks/Kos/Fitch

I think the WW division has much better grapplers. Even its middle tier is tough (Simpson, Pierce, Story, Brennaman)

That's what I was trying to get at. Sonnen & Weidman are the only ones at that weight class with an explosive double leg.
