So he will be on the shelf right? Werdum, Reem are both scheduled to fight someone else... well Reem is fighting soon I guess so that's good.
If Reem wins, he gets Cain in May probably on Memorial Day. If Reem loses, I could see a JDS rematch if Cain doesnt want to sit out until the fall. Werdum and Nog are coaches for TUF Brazil and will fight in the summer so they are on the shelf. Werdum gets the next shot if he wins.

Met Mike Easton tonight and it was interesting to hear him talk while the Cain/JDS fight was on. He was going for JDS.

For my WWE fans, Shaemus and Heath Slater also came through. Those WWE guys seem much smaller in person.

According to Dana Dos Santos has a broken jaw.

Fight of the Night Miller-Lauzon, Sub Moraga, KO Duffee, $65K each

      Lauzon needed 40 stitches.

Dana also said there's no way he's cutting Leonard Garcia. Also said putting Leben and Brunson shouldn't have been on the main card. Basically ripped both of the fighters.

Bisping will get the next title shot if he defeats Vitor, says Dana.

Anderson will destroy him so I hope Vitor wins. I would pray they wouldn't even think of doing Vitor/Anderson II.

I want Silva to fight even if its against Bisping. If Bisping doesnt win, that means Silva is on the shelf until late summer because. Weidman is out for 6 mos and GSP and Jones have spring fights.

If Bisping loses there could be a surprise. I'm sure Dana and company will have something up their sleeve.. plus Spider is obviously looking for a big money fight. Who knows, I would prefer it not to be Bisping. Who knows who else could step up but maybe something out of the blue will happen.

I just dont see it. Other than them giving Rockhold a shot, no one else works because of the schedule. Maybe Weidman can come back early?

I would prefer Weidman but due to his injury and the fact that Anderson simply seems like he really has no interest in Weidman, I have severe doubts it will ever happen.

I really have no idea what other possibilities exist outside of Bisping. If he beats Vitor he would deserve a shot. Then I would assume Hector would face off with Weidman?

                  Already looking forward to 156

I keep forgetting about Lombard. I dont even want to talk about 156 until fight week. I feel like I'm gonna jinx it.

Just watched the replay on my DVR...

Cain put the beatdown on that boy! It looked like JDS just figured he'd KO Cain in a minute like the first fight & totally disregarded training the cardio factor of his game... which is where Cain shines. More so than any other HW, besides maybe Cormier.

Hoping The Demolition Man defeats Bigfoot, so we can see Cain versus Alistair.

Good scrap between Jim Miller & J-Lau. Both will remain very tough gatekeepers at 155.

JDS looked more ripped than ever but it's like he didn't spend one day on a treadmill. Unless that big right by Cain knocked all the life out of JDS? He was already gassed after the first round.

Still didn't see any of JDS' ground game that he supposedly is great.. I didn't see anything from him on the mat.

There's no way they give Silva a rematch with Cain if he were to defeat Reem, right? God I wouldn't want to see that. Reem, you better win.

I think JDS' great BJJ is a bunch of BS. I didnt see him even attempt a sub on the ground. Dont get me wrong. He is brilliant when it comes to getting back up but he he didnt show any sub skills at all.

I think that punch and the subsequent punches were the cause of the gassing. He was dazed all of round 2 and by then had dealt with a round and a half of Cain beating on him.

No way Silva gets a shot. They are more likely to give Mark Hunt a shot if he beats Struve than Silva.

This is why I didn't understand why Mir gave up after one takedown attempt. I know he isn't near the wrestler Cain is, but at least it would have made him think about defending it and maybe tiring him out like last night.

I'm yet to see this amazing BJJ, like Aholbert alluded to, from JDS.

Did Cain tire too? Or did he refuse to go for the kill and just decided to stick to his gameplan? I feel like we were all waiting for Cain to just put the finishing touch up.

Let's keep it together Duff Man.

I'm always surprised when Melvin loses fights. Seems to have everything to be a champion except "it".

They can't release Garcia. He's exactly what Dana wants as far as giving fans a fight.

When's the last time a HW had two successful title defenses? Not counting interim title.

Mir doesn't have the gas tank Cain does. He's older and has so much more muscle, he tires much quicker. You could already see Cain gassed by the 2nd or 3rd round, going for takedowns and trying to keep JDS down is exhausting.

I've never seen Cain gassed so quickly. I don't think he could have finished it without leaving himself vulnerable. Dana said Cain was fighting safe towards the last half of the fight to ensure a win. He wasn't taking anything away from Cain, just saying Cain could have really finished him. I don't think he could have, I think he was just too tired to string combos.

Melvin's TDD is awful. He just lets people ride him. You have to have great defensive wrestling to be champ IMO, at any division. That's the state of MMA today.

I called it way back when Brock first took the title, HW champ will not be in one guy's hands very long. I still predict JDS or maybe even Reem to have the belt.

As far as Junior's bjj goes, I agree that it was probably just a bunch of hype, but Cain's top pressure is crazy and he can't be the easiest person to work from the bottom against either. Plus the standup game is where JDS's bread is buttered, why get away from what's got him to where he is? Even though he got worked the whole fight, I was still on the edge of my seat just because I thought there was a possibility of him still getting a KO. He managed to get up from the ground a bunch of times. I don't think fishing around on his back for subs against Cain would've done much for him. Cain is a special fighter. He's laid out a blueprint to beat JDS, but it's gonna be mighty difficult for others fighters to duplicate that success.

Cain definitely got tired in that fight. In the post fight show he was talking about how difficult it was for him to keep that pressure the whole fight. He just gutted it out.

And I feel you on Melvin. Every fight I fall for the hype because I dig his style and want to see him win, but he finds all kinds of ways to lose. He has sick athleticism and pretty good skill, it just doesn't seem like it's in the cards for him to be a champion.
