UFC Fight Night: Bisping vs. Kennedy - April 16 - FS1

UFC during the week? I'm not complaining. I watched like 10 minutes of the TUF Nations season, so I have no idea how the guys fighting from the show are. Hopefully there's some decent fights sprinkled throughout the card though.

    Michael Bisping vs. Tim Kennedy
    Patrick Cote vs. Kyle Noke
    Sheldon Westcott vs. Elias Theodorou
    Chad Laprise vs. Oliver Aubin-Mercier
    Dustin Poirier vs. Akira Corassani

    Preliminary Card (FS1)
    Sam Stout vs. KJ Noons
    Sarah Kaufman vs. Leslie Smith
    Ryan Jimmo vs. Seaon O'Connell
    George Roop vs. Dustin Kimura

    Preliminary Card (UFC Fight Pass)
Mark Boceck vs. Mike de la Torre
    Nordine Taleb vs. Vik Grujic
    Richard Walsh vs. Chris Indich
    Mitch Gagnon vs. Tim Gorman

No doubt. I think Stout/Noons could end up being a lot of fun too.

Kimura should win by Kimura. Because it would be fun to say Kimura by Kimura

I agree 100%. That fight should end up being one of, if not, the best fight of the evening. I don't really care for Bisping or Kennedy, but it could end up being pretty decent too. This isn't a bad card at all, and we have a couple more good ones coming up. UFC on Fox 11 this Saturday looks awesome on paper!

I'll be watching this one though for sure before watching the new season of Ultimate Fighter.

I actually watched all of TUF this year and there was some really good fights. I think that the four finalist should all have careers in the UFC - especially the two WW's. The WW fight will be a classic striker (Laprise) vs. Judo (Aubin-Mercier) matchup. It's hard for me to really pick a winner in this one because I don't thing that Laprise grappled that much this season so I don't know how good he is at anything other than striking (which he's great at - here's his last fight. Personally, I thought that these two were the best strikers this season http://www.ufc.com/media/tuf-nations...son-full-fight FF to around 9:50 to see the end ). And on the flip side I don't think that Aubin-Mercier took much of a punch in any of his fights this season. He's a bad dude, especially on the ground.

The MW finale has more potential to be a snooze fest. I mean, both guys can be explosive, but I can see a scenario where they respect each other a little too much. Sheldon basically ran over both of his opponents in the house - submitting both in the first round. And Elias pretty much "Fitched" both of his - winning by UD both times, although he did have some nice slams. I'll looking forward to this one, but just not as much as I am the other fight.

As for the rest of the TUF guys, I'm not sure how the chose the TUF guys for the under card. I guess that they wanted to keep in one Canada versus Australia match for each of the divisions? Vic was definitely the right choice for MW if that's the case, but I would have liked to seen Tyler Manawaroa get a shot too. Assuming that Kajan is still injured, I guess they made the right choice for the WW's.

I agree with those that say that Stout and Noons should be the FoN. I can't wait for that one. Jimmo and Poirier are always fun to watch. I don't know much about Jimmo's oppenent, but it will be interesting to see how Akira Corassani does against Poirier. I'd give a huge nod to Dustin, but Akira is on a 3 (really 2 honestly) fight winning streak and it should be a fun fight to see. I don't really care too much about the co-main event. I think Cote wins it. As for the main event I always enjoy watching both guys, but for different reasons. Kennedy I love and want to see win and Bisping I love to hate. I'd like to see him get Hendo'ed again, I just don't see it happening.
Either way this is a pretty nice card, especially for those that watched TUF. I'm really looking forward to it.

Jimmo flatlined O'Connell. Tough introductory fight to the UFC.

Pettis looks pretty big, his face looks sort of chubby. It's crazy how inflated he looks in the Fox studio.

Noons destroyed, always good to see Strikeforce guys succeed.

Impressive! He finished Akira, who looked hungry as ever, best shape he could be in.

I want Diamond to get a title shot soon!

This Elias guy is pretty talented.

He has the potential for being a great heel.

                          Thoughts on that Cote decision?

I need to watch it again before rendering my own verdict but seemed questionable to me at first glance. Maybe I'm too focused in what seemed like a couple hard shots Noke landed.

Again, I need to rematch it. Curious to hear others thoughts though

1-1 right now. really surprised kennedy got that takedown in round 1. Bisping may be a cocky brit, but he has great TDD
