Yep. He's got all the makings of a cross-over star. Last night was a really good night for the UFC. A lot of buzz for the fight and McGregor totally delivered and now Aldo will finally get to fight a marquee opponent. No disrespect to his other opponents, but none were close to the draw that McGregor is. I think that fight in May will do really good numbers.

The Cerrone-Henderson fight was a little lackluster. Seemed like both guys were fighting not to lose instead of looking to actually finish the fight. Hard to say why that is; mutual respect from fighting 2x in the WEC, Cowboy having just fought 2 weeks earlier and Bendo coming off his first stoppage from strikes. I thought Henderson looked comfortable on his feet and had some moments, but never really chained anything of significance together. Cerrone didn't do much either. You really could've scored that a draw and I think in the mind of Joe Silva and Dana White they'll see it that way; both guys are contenders for the title, but neither did anything to scream they deserve a title shot immediately.

Uriah Hall's promo after his fight was pure class. That's another guy with star potential if he puts it all together.

Hall definitely has it if his mind is right. I just don't think he has the killer instinct that is needed to challenge the top fighters. He just seems like a guy who doesn't enjoy knocking guys out, at least in the past. Now he sounded fine after the fight, even calling Costa out for running.

I think both Cowboy and Benson tried to point fight to win. Cowboy looked like he knew he lost the fight. He was trying some takedowns because he knew he wasn't going to win just with the striking. It was a mistake to take that fight on such short notice against a top level fighter.
