I saw the idea for this kind of UFC Fantasy League at another MMA Forum, but I was too late to get signed up. I think it would be pretty cool to do if we could get enough people to take it seriously. If not, it's no big deal. LOL
Basically, we each draft a fighter in each weight class and we'll get points for them throughout the year (2015 in this case). We can determine the amount of points for wins/losses (bonus for finishes perhaps) if there is enough interest.
There are now 9 weight classes in the UFC, so it would be best to have 9 participants in the league to balance things out. If we have 9 players, every player would get the first pick in a particular weight class determined by random draw or something. Every person would get a #2 pick in a different weight class, #3 in one, and so on and so forth.
I can explain more if there is enough interest, so if you're interested, let me know so we can get this going soon. We'll just do a slow draft here and should have plenty of time to get it done for 2015. If we like it enough, we'll start over after the draft and pick another 9 fighters.
