Love it. This may be the first time in a long time I am rooting for Jones. Seems to me like the guy has "done his time" and I can't wait to see if the powerlifting translates into extra elements to his MMA game.

Odds that Jones makes it to this fight have to be going down. He was charged with driving without a license, no insurance, and registration.

Supposedly he will not violate his probation though because he didn't have a condition forbidding him from driving without a license.

BJ Penn is talking like he'll be on this card. That's my dude and everything, but I really didn't want to see him in there again. I hope he looks better than he did towards the end of his run.

He has been training in AZ, so he has the coaching and teammates to make him better than he has been recently. Who knows what he looks like, but probably should go to Bellator and get some winnable fun fights. UFC will probably be too much.

He's fighting Dennis Siver which I think is a winnable fight for BJ.

Yeah if he can't win that fight then his comeback will be dead

Sounds like Jones is starting to embrace that inner heel; about damn time.

MM-Cejudo is a great fight. Cejudo theoretically is a bad matchup for him with his wrestling but I just can't see anyone beating him.

                      Yep...starting.

He's always been a heel but he refused to acknowledge it. He's a arrogant phenom who tried to be likeable when his personality doesnt fit that. Around the Cormier fight, he started to not give a **** and embrace the fact that not everyone will like him.

He's had on again, off again heel like tendencies since the Rashad fight in 2012 and from what I've seen had embraced the full heel role during the build up to the DC fight which was over a year ago. Before that he would try to occasional pull the "I'm so humble" routine, but his actions showed differently hence why he was called fake.

My man Jones came out with a belt. The champ is here!

Re: UFC 197: Mighty Mouse v. Cejudo/ Bones v. Cormier

As much as Jones has fallen from the pristine "role model" pedistal over the past couple of years, I have to root for Jones. 1. He never really lost the belt. SURE, as Champ you're representing the orgainzation and that's part of being the champ. Outside of the ring he stopped being the "champ" so to speak as was stripped. BUT, lets push that to the side a moment... no one has beating Jones IN the ring, where it TRULY counts. Gustaffsen is the only person to even make the fight good and interesting. Everyone else Jones has literally dominated and at times flat out embarrassed.

So why else am I pulling for Jones? Because DC isn't the lineal champ (you know.. beat the man who beat the man who beat the man). Not only that, he's already lost to Jones. So you tell me you're going to win a jump ball fight between yourself and Rumble for the title, which neither of you had beat Jones (and one of you lost to him already) and then you're gonna get on the mic and tell Jones to get his **** together? b!tch please. I'm just saying DC has talked a little too much smack to Jones for being someone that's never beat him. That belt around DC's fat *** means nothing until he beats Jones.

DC got heart, but I think for Jones this is beyond personal now. He might put DC out for a solid year..and if that's the case honestly, DC brought this onto him self.

Only place he's not been fake is in that Octagon, and at the end of the day, that's all that matters. I think Tom Brady is the NFL MVP of fake, but you cannot deny what that man has done on a football field.. and I hate Brady lol
