Re: UFC 199: Rockhold vs. Weidman 2 - June 4
I agree that Cruz definitely seems to be dealing with some sort of injury. That last time he rocked Faber in the 4th the way he went for the kill seemed kind of awkward. Also seems to wobble on his left leg sometimes when stepping back. I could be seeing things"Successful people do not celebrate in the adversity or misfortune of others."

I used to really dislike Cruz in the WEC days. He struck me as a "cali bro" with little substance.
His injury sagas, his comeback from those injuries, seeing him in embedded, hearing him interviewed the last few years, listening to his smart analysis and commentary on his TV jobs, just overall he has really grown on me. He never once came out feeling sorry for himself saying "woe is me." He worked and worked until he came back
Take away those injured years and I firmly believe we would be talking about a guy who is 27-1 right now instead of 22-1 and probably up there in the JJ, GSP, Anderson discussion as an all-time great.
I'm a big Cruz supporter now. He seems like a pretty solid guy out of the ring. Faber is awesome too.
Not sure how keen I am on a DJ/Cruz superfight right now. I would like to see Cruz try to get through another fight with Dillashaw, As well as matchups with Garbrandt and Assuncao. Something tells me Cruz hasn't had a true huge payday yet I hope he gets an opportunity for one before he retiresLast edited by The JareBear; 06-05-2016, 12:28 AM."Successful people do not celebrate in the adversity or misfortune of others."
