I'm over TUF and have been for a long time, but I normally watch vs episode just to see talent. That finish was really nearly, if I was pro fighter I don't think I'd have it in me to soccer kick someone.

It is legal though. No different than trying to hyperextend someone's knee with oblique kicks. TUF is/has getting/gotten old, but I still enjoy it.

I know it's legal, I just wouldn't be able to do. Cruickshank (a TUF vet) just finished someone in Rizin with a soccer kick to face of a downed opponent. That's legal there, but that also is something I personally wouldn't be able to do.

I think it's way different than trying to hyperextend someone's knee. Punches to the head can cause brain damage, body strikes can cause injury to internal organs. That's all part of combat sports.

I have zero problems with hyperextending someone's leg, I don't know if a fight has been stopped by oblique kicks yet. Rampage complained about it, but he's still fighting and seemed to move around fine in his fights after eating those kicks from Jones.

An injury from an oblique kick can still ruin a guy's career. They put the rules in to prevent serious injuries, but let's be honest. A punch or kick standing to the head isn't much different. Nor is a body shot. There is still that chance. The soccer kick to the head I don't agree with, but it is what it is. Fighters take a risk every time they step into that octagon.

We can agree to disagree. I already limp so I don't care if my knee gets jacked. I can say if I was a pro fighter I wouldn't care about oblique kicks, but that's crazy speculation.

I'm excited for this season as Joanna is one of my favorite fighters and I really like WMMA in general.

I'm watching the episode right now, I chuckled when the girl who said "people say I'm the next Ronda Rousey" ended up getting armbarred in the first.

They are having to really stretch to find fighters willing to do the show. They might need to change it up. Some of the women had 1 fight and even had lost that. Then the size difference was apparent. You had 105s fighting smaller 115s and a few big 115s who may struggle cutting a lot if they win.

The men are really reaching bringing back a quitter and for the men there are better options to get to the UFC.

At this point, the talented fighters are going the local circuit route, RFA/LFC/WOSF. So you end up with fighters who don't see themselves moving up through there. Maybe they should do open weight or something to make the fights more interesting.
