      Wow, what a card!

McGregor-Diaz lived up to the hype and is definitely a Fight of the Year candidate. Both guys showed tremendous heart tonight and there has to be a deciding third fight at some point in the future.

As for tonight, I had McGregor 48-47 over Diaz. I have a hard time with Diaz getting a 10-8 round in the 3rd; I didn't see him that dominant. I gave McGregor rounds 1,2 and 4. Conor did a great job in the clinch and takedown defense was solid. His strategy of attacking the lead leg of Diaz was sound; he dropped Nate 3 times and that's definitely a result of having Diaz off-balance on his feet. Nate is a tough S.O.B.; goes from being hurt to almost putting Conor away.

How about Rumble? My gosh that man is scary. DC may not walk out with his title when they scrap.

Another nice win for Cowboy and Cody also picked up an impressive win. Both guys could get title fights soon, with Cowboy perhaps moving back to 155 and Cody at 135 versus Cruz.

Good fight card overall. I enjoyed it. Diaz and Mcgregor went to war. It's one a piece now though. There definitely has to be a third now. Btw, Rumble is one scary sob. God help DC this time around. Every fight I see rumble in shows me how lucky DC was to get that fight on the ground, cuz Rumble is truly the Mike Tyson of the UFC.

Sounds like Cody and Dom are pretty dead set on the fight. My money is on that being next. Dad comments, backstage confrontations, we know how the UFC loves to strike when the iron is hot with bad blood

              Ok, so here it goes.

I admit this may be REALLY dumb, so forgive me

Is there ANY possible way NOT cutting weight the last two fights actually hurt Conors cardio? If you think about it, down at 145, hes scraping and scraping sweating off the weight, thats a lot of roadwork/treadmill/cardio that he hasnt had to do the last two fights.

Does that make any sense at all?

It just seems weird to me that he gasses SO easily now
I think it has hurt him. He has to carry more weight so he gets tired quicker. When he cuts down, he is dieting to get down and then cutting water. All the extra muscles need more oxygen and he can't keep the same pace.

Fight was close, but didn't think they would give it to Conor. He did a lot better, but I thought the cage control was going to give it to Diaz.

Beautiful display of striking technique by Conor through and through. He had a great gameplan, stuck with it and it payed off.

That straight down the pipe he gave nate a knock down with inbetween his guard in the 2nd round was perfect. I gave him round 1, 2 and 4 hands down, and I could even have seen the 5th one being his and even then I wouldn't had been surprised if the first round had been scored a 10-8 round. Honestly, I was shocked to see so many people giving Nate the fight, that's crazy and I would definitely tell them to rewatch it a second time with a unbiased mind.

Nate is always dangerous due to his conditionning and never giving up, but the significant strikes due to counters and great precision were in Conor's favor by a mile.

And as if it wasn't clear enough in the first fight, now I hope those who argued against me on the old forum about Conor being a better boxer and striker have slept well on it. Nate's ground game, crazy chin and conditionning are the only aspects better than Conor's. Timing, precision, speed & striking technique are in Conor's favor and always been.

^ Yup..cant argue that. Was obvious from the first fight that Conor had the better striking. Where Diaz was a danger to Conor was in his toughness and that reach...he can take a shot and overwhelm you with his reach and volume striking. Props to Conor though cuz he played it much smarter this time around and managed to pull out the win. I enjoyed their fight and a third needs to be in the works. What Conor needs to do is get back down weight now though. How about Rumble though guys...I feel like DC is in some serious trouble this time around. Its like you literally can't let Rumble touch you cuz if he does you're screwed. I feel like he takes the title from DC this time.
