    UFC 207: Ronda's Return

Dana White just said on Colin Cowherd that Romda is coming back to fight at UFC 207 on December 30th against Amanda Nunes for the title. This is going to be held in Vegas.

Wow I didn't hear this. Did this just happen?

Very cool. I think it is a good fight for Ronda.

Pretty sweet. Can't wait for the greatest women's mma fighter of all time to get back in the octagon and win her belt back.

Yea Dana just announced it a little over a half hour ago. I was posting the thread as I was listening to it.

          Thats awesome

I am super stoked, although I know that sound I hear is the Hate Train coming in again. Most hated fighter of all time and, IMO, a decent chunk of it is unfair. (Again, not saying all of it, but there is some MAD inconsistency in Ronda hate).

Could end badly for her. Nunes is dangerous on the feet. And she's had quite a break, doing nothing about her previous glaring weaknesses.

Time to hop back on that Rousey hate train.

Hopefully she comes back with some new skills.

Rousey's return certainly makes the division a bit more interesting. Assuming she gets past Nunes (which isn't guaranteed), or even if she loses, you still have Cyborg waiting for her. I don't think that's ever going to happen, but you never know. They've gotta do that at catchweight, though. Enough of trying to make Cyborg hit 135.

Pena is running her mouth about Rousey every chance she gets she gets. They could have a nice little feud going is Pena keeps talking crazy like she has.

Holm rematch could be a nice possibility at some point as well. Then you have Tate and Pennington fighting soon. That would be a huge win for Rocky and it would put her in the mix.

I don't lean either way towards Rousey. I don't hate her and I'm not really a fan either. She brings a lot of eyes to the sport, though. I honestly thought she wasn't going to come back.

On the flip side, Nunes falls into the clinch pretty easily and doesnt have the footwork or length that Holm had to keep Ronda off of her.

                    Bingo!

Holm is really one of the only women in the division capable of beating Rousey style wise. Many of the other women are too comfortable falling into the clinch and that's Rousey's wheel house. I'm happy to see her back, she kicked down the door and as a result so many women can make money fighting.

Yh i've noticed this with Nunes. But Ronda better get that clinch cuz she is not exactly "skilled" in the striking department...more of a brawler. I could see Ronda getting the clinch early and finishing Nunes by sub, but I could also see her trying to come out storming early and getting rocked by Nunes. On a side note though, I wanna see her vs Cyborg more than anything.

If she does that she needs to retire. That shows that she is unwilling to learn from her past strategic mistakes. Her team is already trash but I hope she is smart enough to learn from the beating Holm gave her.

Agreed. Ronda has a tendency lately of trying to roughhouse her opponents to get the fight where she is comfortable, which was her mistake with Holm. Almost reminds me of the way lots of players play mma games. She just wants to storm in with strikes and try to force the clinch, instead of feeling out her opponents and letting the fight come to her at times. Doing that could be a big mistake against a fighter like Nunes, who is a fast starter and is very dangerous early. Hopefully she has learned from her mistakes and we will see a much smarter Ronda in this fight.

Great. Not a big UFC guy, but can't wait to see her get smacked around again. Should be fun.

On the flip/flip side though, Nunes has the by far the best BJJ of anyone Honda has fought. On top of those heavy hands.

This is a bad fight for Honda imo.
