I hope Valentina wins this time

I'm pulling for her too. I feel like she has the tools and the skilled striking to beat Nunes. Nunes really just has power...her striking is not particularly skilled imo. She really just throws a ton of lead leg kicks and 1 2's and catches ppl cuz she's long. I feel like a skilled striker like Valentina may be able to pick her apart on the feet but her reach and power is what you have to be able to deal with. I think if Valentina can avoid her power shots and take her into the later rounds, she will start to fade and Valentina can take advantage of it.

Imagine if Big John wasn't so inconsistent on those Nunes having those fingers out now. Lol.

Oh well, I guess its better to have a fight decided by actual fighting rather than a point deduction. But I wish there were some clearer rules on that ****.

No way in hell Nunes won that fight...

-She didn't land anything but weak leg kicks the entire fight.
-Every single time she tried to open up, Shevchenko slipped and countered her with 2-3-4 shots.
-The only thing Nunes had was 1 takedown... in which she landed not a single strike off of, while eating punches & elbows from Shevchenko on the bottom...

There is no way Nunes "won" that. Pathetic judging. Shevchenko was so much more technical and effective than Nunes in just about every single way possible..

I kind of realized the same thing today. She landed some body kicks as well, but for the most part I agree 100%. Valentina jumping in and landing combos was sick.

Yup I agree. Nunes didn't win that. She pretty much did the same stuff she always does. Tons of lead leg kicks and 1 2s. She threw a few push kicks too but for the most part, i feel like Valentina out struck her. She couldnt even get her 1 2 spam going cuz Valentina would slip counter her every time. But hey thats why they say dont leave it in the hands of the judges i guess.

Yup that guy's striking has vastly improved...very impressive. With good striking like that to go along with his high lvl wrestling, he's going to be a nightmare matchup for some guys.
