I think Dana is on his way out. He has been vocal lately and been wrong a lot more. The UFC even had someone else release the statement that weigh ins weren't moving. He looks tired and is aggravated a lot more. WME (whatever they are called now) has changed the UFC a lot, writers aren't just taking Dana at his word, and fighters are not holding back.

Daniel Cormier has the most fascinating style and I absolutely love watching him compete. He’s got 3 or 4 world class skills, and he just forces them on his opponents until they expose a vulnerability or break from the pressure.

It’s truly fascinating how he “feels out” his opponent, and gets a sense of their strengths and weaknesses early in the fight. For most guys, the “feeling out” process is performed from the outside, using fakes and gauging reactions from a safe distance. DC’s approach to the “feeling out process” is unique to him and him alone. He does have a feeling out process - he’s a smart fighter and admits to making calculations early in fights - he just does it in a different way. He feels his opponent’s out by immediately pressuring them with a variety of attacks, and seeing how they react. He wastes no time finding out exactly what his opponents strengths and weaknesses are, and once he identifies a weakness he takes over.

He has world class clinch boxing, world class wrestling, world class “MMA boxing”, and he relentlessly alternates between them while walking his opponent down. This strategy is backed up by his high level defensive awareness, a good chin and world class conditioning. So he just pours on the pressure, reaching for takedowns, throwing punches, grabbing their neck, dirty boxing, good defense, hoping one of these attacks will expose a weakness in his opponent.

In the off chance the opponent is able to match DC’s skills individually, the relentless pressure will eventually overwhelm them. Oezdemir’s one advantage against DC on paper was the boxing, the punching. And he probably would win a pure boxing match vs DC. But Oezdemier was so preoccupied with the clinch attempts and level changes, DC landed hard punches and outboxed Oezdemir. By the time Oezdemir began respecting the boxing, DC went back to the wrestling, and just crushed him. See Oezdemir had the ability to stop DC’s wrestling. He also had the ability to outstrike DC. But the way DC combines his skills in an MMA fight overwhelms people, as it did Oezdemir.

I just find DC’s style very fascinating. It doesn’t look impressive if you look at each thing specifically... his boxing looks reckless and sloppy, his kicks look mediocre, his takedowns are getting stuffed by kickboxers. There’s no visually stunning techniques that the casual eye can see and think DC’s a spectacular fighter. But he puts it all together beautifully, and just brings a competitiveness to MMA that makes him fascinating to watch. He’s a two division champ in the UFC, what more can you say about the guy.

See Jones ain't here though, so he's out of the picture regardless. Jones screwed up and DC took everything he wanted. Now they are getting ready for Brock/DC and Jones is somewhere like...

This is something I agree 100% with. Everything DC has is solely due to the fact that Jon Jones screwed up. He hasn't actually earned anything himself.

Everything Jones has earned is in doubt, he definitely himself thought he couldn't beat DC without PEDs.

DC still had to beat Stipe and the other guys put in front of him. And Stipe was no slouch no matter what Brock Lesnar had to say.

To say DC didn’t earn anything is asinine.

DC himself definitely thought he couldn't have beaten Stipe without the most blatant and damaging eye poke in MMA history.
