Let's see if Meek can rebound from that Usman fight.

Great performance from Haqparast. Diakese now 3-3 in ufc.

Striker with reach advantage that can't do much else if you pressure him. Wanted him to lose after he continued to stick his fingers even after the eye poke. When are refs going to take points like the new rules say? There are no reasons to stick an open hand out at distance. Then a lot of fighters do it when hurt and going backwards to stop the other fighter from advancing.

            Take points ... rant over

Glover looked terrible, he is too slow now. Move up to HW and see if not cutting weight helps. Age has caught up to him.

Shogun is probably going to look the same

Damn. Shogun looked a bit better than I expected despite how short the fight was. Smith looked a like a killer. Reminds me a young Shogun a bit.

Love this dude Anthony Smith. Respectful guy who gets busy in the cage. That Gustafsson call-out, though. Oh my, let's go!

Poor taste with the Undertaker celebration though. But what a performance. Some much needed blood in the LHW division.

this 100%. If i was the ref i'd say "you do that crap ONCE! ONCE! and unless it's some miracle crap where you did a spinning fist and he backflipped into your eye I'm taking a point"

All for it. Smith is on a 3 W streak. Gus needs an opponent, and he's not been that active. a great title eliminator there.

i thought it was Oezdimir who was injured with the broken nose?

Minor injury meaning UFC making this fight for 228 or he saw Smith fight and doesn't want to take the chance.

Yeah, not saying this is true, but I can see Gus working through any minor injury. If I was Gus' manager i would say; "Oezdemir is out? well just say you're injured, and we don't have to fight some thirsty no name opponent last minute and lose your spot".
