Re: UFC on ESPN+ 5: Till v Masvidal
This Molly McCann chick is wild as hell [emoji23]. Her eye got destroyed, but I'm glad they let her finish to get the W. When the other girl tried that cheap shot, I was really hoping McCann would knock her out. That was some UFC 3 **** .

Diakiese won
(+170|$2.7x|4/10)
Marc Diakiese < Joseph Duffy
(-185|$1.5x|6/10)
Diakiese has dynamic striking and solid basics. His best chance is just that, however grappling is not his strong suit.
Duffy is a mixed martial artist. A technician. He has a great jab and has good submissions.
Prediction: Duffy by Decision.
___
Result: Diakiese by Decision (30-27)

Reyes wins
(+210|$3.1x|3/10)
Volkan Oezdemir < Dominick Reyes
(-230|$1.4x|7/10)
Oezdemir possesses the power advantage and is decent in the clinch. He gained notority with his 'touch of death' clinch strikes.
Reyes is well rounded but a better striker. He has the tools to take the fight anywhere.
Prediction: Reyes by TKO in R2.
___
Result: Reyes by Split Decision (29-28)

Re: UFC on ESPN+ 5: Till v Masvidal
I am really surprised Reyes won that decision. I thought Oezdemir probably won 29-28 by pressing the action, controlling the grappling, and maybe even outland Reyes.Comment

Re: UFC on ESPN+ 5: Till v Masvidal
I’m kind of surprised at how well Oezdemir is doing. He’s really beating Reyes in every aspect of the fight. Reyes was considered a promising prospect by a lot of people.
Just another example of how weak the 205 division is. The only promising fighter right now who actually stands out from the crowd is Johnny Walker. He’s clearly separated himself from these other guys with completely dominant beat downs.Xbox GT: the relaxed guyComment

Edwards wins
(-135|$1.7x|6/10)
Leon Edwards > Gunner Nelson
(+125|$2.2x|4/10)
Edwards is a good striker and has decent TDs to mixup with. His best chance is to clinically out point.
Nelson has a more complete game. Known for TDs and subs and he also has good strikes for mixup. Nelson is the underdog, but I think he has upset potential here.
Prediction: Edwards by Decision.
___
Result: Edwards by Split Decision (28-27)

Re: UFC on ESPN+ 5: Till v Masvidal
Wait WHAT? Reyes just won that? My goodness.
Either way, my point still stands. 205 is weak as hell. No way Reyes is even vaguely threatening to Jones. The callout was cringey as hell.
Honestly, Walker is the only standout 205er right now. He’s separated himself from all the other bums at 205 with 3 consecutive first round KOs. He’s entertaining as hell, explosive, and actually poses a threat to Jones.
I’m not trying to **** on Corey Anderson, that guy has put in the work and is a respectable, skilled fighter. He’s the one exception to the other bums considered “contenders” at 205. But even still, I don’t think he poses any threats to Jones. I think stylistically, Walker is a far bigger threat. I know Corey probably next in line, rankings wise. But to me, Walker is the obvious biggest threat.Xbox GT: the relaxed guyComment

Re: UFC on ESPN+ 5: Till v Masvidal
That was a great clinch elbow, Edwards almost finished Nelson with that. Was just as impressive as seeing Edwards outgrapple Nelson for a while earlier.Comment

Re: UFC on ESPN+ 5: Till v Masvidal
Good gameplan by Edwards. Gunnar's defense off those clinch breaks was horrible. He was getting caught by tons of shots on clinch breaks. Gunnar had to be on top to be a grappling threat against him, but a little to late. Had he had more time with top position, things could have took a grave turn for Edwards.Comment

Masvidal won
(-215|$1.4x|7/10.)
Darren Till > Jorge Masvidal
(+195|$2.9x|3/10)
Till is a striker. He sometimes utilizes the clinch but his long 1 2 is his most dangerous weapons aside from his elbows.
Masvidal has fundamental striking. He also has a wrestling background but doesn't utlize it as much. Has solid body work and creative kicks.
Prediction: Till by Decision.
___
Result: Masvidal by KO (left hook) at 3:05 in R2.

Re: UFC on ESPN+ 5: Till v Masvidal
I got Till taking this one too by a decision. He's a more skilled and varied striker, where as Masvidal is a little boxing heavy. Once he stays on the outside and fights long, I think he picks Masvidal apart. Masvidal is tough to finish though, so i'll say decision. For Masvidal, he has to get on the inside and make it a scrap. I think thats where he'll have more success and maybe even catch Till with something. Let's see though. Last main event I was wrong and Lewis got finishedComment

Re: UFC on ESPN+ 5: Till v Masvidal
Holy ****!
Masvidal landed the most vicious left hook and finished the fight. Till is still out cold.Comment

Re: UFC on ESPN+ 5: Till v Masvidal
Man he destryed him with that, but thats the way Masvidal had to fight. Get on the inside and wing heavy hands. He caught Till with some nasty shots even before that and I was shocked Till ate them. He couldn't take that last one though.Comment
