I still remember cringing everytime Kurt Angle suplexed Shane into those panes of glass and they wouldn't break. This was the very first match that came to my mind.

Stone Cold Vs Bret Hart, the overall intensity of the match made it an instant classic, so many hard hits delivered both ways.

This match completely put austin on the map.

I have a "Best of Chris Jericho" tape that has a match from over in Japan, can't remember what company it was for, but it's him vs. Benoit in an hour-long match, with basically no breaks for breathers (ie, no 5-minute headlock breaks) and almost non-stop action the whole match. I'd say that's my favorite match, cause I can watch it all the time. Not sure my favorite match from the big promotions, probably the Shawn Michaels - Razor Ramon Ladder Match from WM X

It could be their match from the 94 Super J cup. Which is considered by many the best show of all time.

When I got my hands on that tape as a kid, my entire view of wrestling changed. Liger, Sasuke, Benoit, Guerrero, Malenko...what an amazing event. I ordered the DVD last year to make sure I had it in my collection.

The Benoit DVD has two matches from that event as well as another vs. Liger which is equally amazing.

Hey sven, isn't the Jericho/Benoit match from the '95 cup? I only have '94 and Jericho isn't apart of it. I'll have to pick up the year after if that match is really close to an hour.

I'll go with Rock-Hogan from WM X8. Great buildup, two icons who were both my favorite at some point in my life. And even though neither one will be considered great mat technicians, they told one hell of a story that night. Even though I was at Mankind-Taker back in 98, I don't even consider that a match. Just sheer brutality. Not that it wasn't entertaining, though.

1996 summerslam. Taker vs Mankind. Boiler room Brawl. Winner was the 1st to leave the room and get the urn from Paul Bearer. Taker got there first but then Bearer hit him with it...

Or the Buried alive Match vs Mankind.

Man Taker has had so many great matches. Even the one's where he loses are great because there's usually a small twist in them like the buried alive one where the lightning strikes and his hand comes through the dirt.

Yep, 95 Super J Cup, just went back and watched at the beginning, and the only stuff I could make out was Super J and 95, so it's a pretty safe assumption.
