I'm ready for Sting to bring some guys to the next level. He talks about giving back and it's really refreshing to hear.

Between big things happening on SD, Final Resolution on Sunday and, where presumably big things will happen, RAW on Monday, this shaping up to be a few good days of wrestling. Not Harcore Homecoming/One Night Stand/ROH Weekend big, but big nontheless.
TNA will not get squashed by WWE if TNA had all the things the WWE has like:

    - Production
    - Big name Arenas to wrestle at
    - 2 hr time slot

Give TNA all that and WWE has no shot at Squashing TNA as long as Vince is running the WWE with the crappy writers. As ofr what the WWE has done lately the only thing that shocked me a little bit was the Edge thing. But the Angle thing you could have seen that coming from a mile away, maybe not knowning what Superstar, but you knew WWE had to do something for SD. Because like I've said WWE on the SD has no one of value right now to hold the title.

What happend to that other promotion that tried on Monday night's? WCW might have had a two year advantage, but in the end Vince always puts his competition under. Not just WCW, either mind you. HOw many territories did he kill?

Right now isn't a good idea...and niether is later on. Anyone who thinks that ANY promotion can in the end win a Monday Night War against VKM is delusional. I don't care what the product looks like now

I wasn't suprised to see Edge win the title, but I was suprised about what happened on SD. You were the opposite...does that mean they failed? NO!

That was when Vince had the WWE going in a good direction perse and they ended up buying out WCW and not beating them.

How could it mean that the WWE has failed because I was the opposite...when I said that they both were good moves actually on the WWE part

There weren't many interesting things going on in WWF circa '95-'96. In 1997, they started to turn it around. Nitro dominated the ratings battle until VKM and Co. started to gain more momentum with their future stars '98. it took time.

Nitro on Monday nights was a direct challenge to the WWF. It was Ted Turner saying "we'll be number one". It worked for awhile, but when you're part of a conglomerate without an emotionally attatched backer (as Turner was), you don't have much room for error. If TNA goes to Mondays head to head with RAW, it's that same challenge. And they WILL be BURIED.

WCW WAS defeated. Even if they didn't go out of business, the WWF was putting on far better shows and getting GREAT ratings. WCW seemed to have ZERO direction and it didn't look like there was any light at the end of the tunnel. Nitro was floundering in the ratings until Time Warner put it out of it's misery.

As for the Edge/Angle things, I think I did misundertand a little. I know you don't think it was a failure, but this is the direction they should be going - at least trying to suprise us. You made it sound like "oh big deal, they should do that", but if they keep this up, Creative IS going in the right direction. I'm being optimistic in that this is a sign to come. Maybe you don't think that it is?

It is a good sign/good start. I will be more optimisitc if they continue to go in the right direction. I am not ready to be as optimistic as everyone else like its all high and mighty, when they've done two good things. I'll save my optimisim for later when there is more to go on.
