Who's in TNA for name sake?

X Pac - isn't there for his name, he's there because in his earlier stints with TNA, he showed the world he can still wrestle.

BG James and Kip James - Are now where they belong as a Tag Team and are not there because of there names.

Raven - Isn't in TNA, because of his name and he puts on some good matches, when he's not getting screwed around in TNA.

Team 3D - Is still a decent young Tag Team, now they might be in TNA for name sake, but also because they are still a good Tag Team.

So, who are guys that stick out?

Guys like 6-Pac, Kevin Nash, Scott Hall, Randy Savage & Kip James have been brought in for name value over the years imo. That list that you have above is not one that I made, someone else did. You must feel that those guys above may have been brought in for name value or else you wouldn't have listed them. I never gave names.

i'd have to say X-pac was just plain boring to watch last night, I wanted to Raven to kick his *** and some of the moves X-pac pulled were kinda sorry..but X-pac looked pretty bad - See the thing bout it is the guys they picked up is strange b/c those are some ofm y all time favorites..but the James Gang just doesnt fit in with TNA..Billy gunn or w/e his name is seemso kay but Road dogg i dunno..Then Konnan haha what is going on there...I've always hated him so maybe thatz just me. The Dudley's i aint sure something about them doesnt impress me so much but i still like them. Christian is good and im liking him more but i definatly dont think he's as great as some are trying to make him....Jeff Jarret is pretty good tho also.

Really all i was saying that most of the TNA made stars are great wrestlers and do so much different stuff, and have exciting matches but then it seems when the Old time guys who are just there to bring money in and fans just dont fit in with the TNA fighting ..There all slow paced and wanting to punch all match long like a normal WWe match..Who knows maybe im just confused b/c the matches last night where i didnt know anyone besides Samoa Joe and Chris Daniels i had no interest in

Also i was just pointing out somethin i noticed so there is no reason to argue or such about it, i ordered the PPV just to check out TNA and i liked it but i was pointing out some of the guys they used were to me Washed up WWe wrestlers..No reason to Defend TNA about everything , it was a good show..Thanks and cant wait till impact on Saturday night

Scott Hall wasn't brought in for Name Value...He was one of the main guys in year 1.. As the Loan Wolf Scott Hall. He was on the first ever PPV of TNA.

Maybe Kevin Nash you consider him being brought in for Name Value but, then again i don't really know becasue where Scott Hall is, hes never to far behind.

Pac- He was brought to TNA because Pac needed money and said he'd love to show the fans he could still go. Which he proved that in his match against Lynn.

Randy Savage- Was brought in for Big Name Value but, that blew up when he complained about Hulk Hogan coming.

Kip James- Big Name Value...I don't know if you can say he was brought in for his name beacuse the "E" Messed that up and He really wanted to be in TNA he was always been hind the scenes for a while and especially since its in his backyard. He gets to stay with his kids and family.

I don't think anyone cares about Pac anymore so, theres very little Name Value. Randy Savage- Name Value but, who cares ( have you seen one of his arms?)

I think TNA Brought Gunn in for name Value but, more so to give the fans the New Age Outlaws. They are still way over in that department.

I am sorry bro about last nights PPV...For the new guys that were getting because Candy and I think you get almost the Full Potential if given a 2 hour show. Tonight was Ok but, nothing as good as last months.

Against All Odds should be better then Final Resolution though.

Sorry about what? I actually enjoyed the ppv with bout 6 of my closes friends and family, we all enjoyed it to be honest..sure there were some matches that were strange but somethin i started to like in tna is when u thought the match was over it wouldnt be and i loved that...Aj styles vs tanashi and samoa joe vs chris D were 2 great matches in my opinoin and were worth it to me rite there..and i loved the main event seeing sting..i hated that Raven and The dudely's lost for sure..X-pac like i said to me just was so unimpressive..but it was a quality show to me..I doubt i'l be ordering again anytime soon but i wont be ordering WWE either not a big fan in ordering ppv's i just wanted to try it out this 1 time and it was worth every penny...After last night i'd say i found respect for TNA and i will definaty be watching every saturday night and ppv's so often ..I still favor WWE in a lot of ways but maybe once i get used to TNA i'll feel the same towards it..and to be honest i miss WCW haha..and in ways i hate and love how u and a few guys will favor TNA and WWE so much ..it makes me wanna watch more just to see what WWe is gonna do with TNA gettin more attention which like i said earlier and all know is great for Wrestling to have more then 1

Exactly what all of us thought last night after the ppv, we were like that WCW pretty much just with new young guys instead of old timers...I was definatly impressed and i really ordered this ppv b/c of you and a few other guys on this site intersted me into it..so you helped TNA out with 1 order for sure..and it helped Sting was coming back.

                        just my thoughts
I disagree with most of this. TNA is going on 4 years. Scott Hall was on the 1st 2 hr PPV NWA-TNA ever held and he was there throughout the year. Back in 2004, Scott Hall & Kevin Nash were brought in for name value to help sell VICTORY ROAD. That is what happened, VR sold like hotcakes. Hall was let go do to drinking problems and Nash hasn't been able to wrestle due to injuries and his infection that he had, BOUND FOR GLORY main event was meant to be JEFF JARRETT vs. KEVIN NASH since Nash was the biggest name on the roster at the time. They wanted to hype up their WrestleMania show.

6-Pac & Jeff Hardy have both been headaches to TNA no showing PPV's or just showing up late to events. I would say HARDY was brought in more for name value than PAC. Both guys have contributed over the last few years to TNA and again PAC was around from the 2 hr NWA-TNA PPV weekly shows. PAC wasn't invited back when he decided to no show during the tag team match on PPV for the tag titles.

Savage was such a bust that I wish money was never spent on him. He was all about taking the title and nothing else.

Monty Sapp a.k.a Kip James, Billy Gunn was brought in for name value. The plan was always to reform the New Age Outlaws and even TNA tried to buy the name from WWE. By reforming the New Age Outlaws, it may bring some of their fans back to check them out. The fact is that when TNA finally decided to team him up with BG James to reform as a team, THE JAMES GANG....it was too late. They dragged this on for way too long, first feuding with each other, than James becomes a good guy, then 4LK comes about, than we finally get a feud with LAX. It's good that it helps the tag ranks.

I guess we will wait and see how all this comes about. We know that Sting is there just for more than helping TNA out to put over talent, his name is out there now and I know a handful of people that ordered the PPV just to see Sting.

Wait till Jeff Jarrett vs. Sting if built up properly, it will sell PPV's alone on Sting's name like we had the first ever.............JEFF JARRETT vs. RAVEN for the title on Wednesday night.

I suggest sticking with the product for a few months just to get an overall better feeling of everyone and storylines. TNA is WCWlite with former WWE talent that has helped round out the already great homegrown talent. I primarily enjoy TNA for the TAG TEAM WRESTLING & X DIVISION which the WWE can't come close to.

I'm glad that you enjoyed the PPV last night. TNA PPV's also run till 5 minutes to the blackout of the PPV unlike the WWE which are anywhere from 15-20 minutes when they blackout their PPV's. You get an extra 2-3 matches.

The Second Stint of Hall and Nash yes Name value but, first time hall was there no, because no one knew.

Nash had a Heart attack and now he can't wrestle. Although he has 15 dates left on his contract so he may be brought back sometime down the line.

For Sure Hardy was brought in for Name Value and he was good for a short period but, now hes gone back into his old habits.

have you seen Savages arm? one of them.its so skinny. He has to wear a sleeve to cover it.

I don't see Gunn to being a name value. Honestly can you sit there and tell me Bill Gunn/Kip James would bring in viewers?.....Now if they brought him in and tagged him BG James right off the bat and promoted "The New Age Outlaws" Maybe you have something

yea definatly i'll be keeping up with TNA with impact for sure..I would get every ppv if i could i just cant afford to throw $30+ down 1 time a month to watch wrestling when i can watch raw, smackdown, and impact for free..but so often i will ..Sting was a reason i did..if the rock or stone cold came back to WWE i'd get those ppv's in a heartbeat..You never know the next ppv i may be even more interested in and order it but we will see i'll be watching and reading on here a lot
