Sadder than TNA letting them in for free...

"The MTV TV taping is tomorrow. Kris Kloss will be doing the announcing. He used to do the XPW TV show. I'm of the impression that all fans who attend will have to sign a non-disclosure sheet. Taping is 5 to 11 p.m. They are looking for fans to be between 18-25 years old and to wear Warped Tour attire and show up in "Downtown Los Angeles" at 4:30 p.m. Fans will get paid $7 per hour for four to six hours of taping. To get into the taping send to [email protected] with a contact number as well as a photo if possible. I guess no ugly fans allowed or something." (http://www.wrestlingobserver.com/wo/....asp?aID=15448)

Well, that's a good job. Like 28-42 dollars for nothing but watching wrestling.

        Not bad.

        Stupid though.

Indeed that is very stupid. But I'd do it.

This isn't unprecendented tho, WCW when they did tapings at Walt Disney World paid people to attend the tapings.

Correct. It was at Universal...I went to one of the tapings with my family many years back when we were on vacation. More than anything, they told people how to react and would ask you to cheer and boo before the show so they could insert the proper crowd reaction and all the other fake noise they filtered in. We weren't paid, but they did hire actors for the first few rows, some equipped with signs that were given to them. You left the thing having no appreciation for the business, I'll tell you that much!

They also did tapings at MGM Studios in Walt Disney World. Back in the mid-90's I did the Backstage Tour that they have at MGM and when they took us through one of the buildings we stopped where they taped WCW. While we were there Johnny B. Badd was practicing his entrance.
