    Exclusive Scott Steiner Interview w/TNA

EXCLUSIVE POST "DESTINATION X" INTERVIEW WITH SCOTT STEINER
    By Ross Forman - tnawrestling.com

Don’t worry, Scott Steiner’s multitude of “Freaks” are doing just fine. He didn’t want any of them ringside when he arrived in TNA Wrestling on March 12 at the end of Destination X.

The one who needs to worry, though, is Sting … because Steiner is determined to end his career for good, not just leave him bruised, battered and demoralized – as was the case at the end of the pay-per-view.

“I killed him, destroyed, as usual. What did you expect?” Steiner said in his first post-match interview. “Jeff (Jarrett) called and wanted me to beat someone up. I of course didn’t have a problem doing that; I never have a problem knocking someone’s teeth down their throat. Especially when he told me who.

“In fact, I told Jeff I’d do it on my dime, that he didn’t even have to pay me.”

The Sting-Steiner feud dates back several years and obviously is no where near resolution. If anything, Steiner’s antics at Destination X, coupled with Jarrett’s out-of-ring antics of late, could no doubt force Sting to take more drastic action.

And not a minute too soon, fans are saying.

“Sting and I are on complete opposite ends of the spectrum,” Steiner said. “He loves the fans and wants them to cheer for him. I of course could care less about the fans. I don’t like rednecks; I don’t like white-trash – and that’s basically 98 percent of the wrestling audience.

“Beating up Sting was easy. In fact, I barely broke a sweat.”

Steiner had surgery on his left foot in July 2004, and then spent about eight months in a cast. He had six screws put in, and a tendon transfer.

“The foot never will be 100 percent, but nothing is ever 100 percent after surgery,” Steiner said. “But does it look like I have a flaw? Does it look like I was missing a step? I don’t think so; that’s why I’m a Genetic Freak.”

When asked if he signed a long-term TNA contract, Steiner simply said he’s around, “for the pure enjoyment of beating up Sting,” and said he’d linger around the iMPACT! Zone “as long as I need to, to get the job done.”

Steiner said he “felt as good out there as I’ve ever felt.”

    Better than ever?

“That’s hard to happen, but I’d say yes,” he said.

Steiner warned Sting allies to stay clear, or fear the wrath of the largest arms in the world. “I’ll beat them up too … because that’s what I do,” he said.

Pretty interesting little interview from Scott Steiner, but he sounds so WCW. By the WCW remark I mean his gimmick from WCW.

What other gimmick could he have though? He's the bad *** heel again. At least TNA got something right with this. Other than the rumored WarGames style match, of course.

yeah, and He had the WCW gimmick and weak WWE Gimmick. So I was trying to make sure I clarified myself , was all.

I'm glad that he came back as a bad@ss, that is what "Big Poppa Pump" is all about. Not the watered down version that Vince and H wrecked.

I think that many are down on Steiner because of his last WWE stint and what he was made out to be. I think that he will dominate in TNA.

exactly. TNA seems to remember gimmicks that got over certain wrestlers and will bring them back. Since Scott Steiner is now in TNA, for the time being I will give him the benefit of the doubt that he can still go (WCW Steiner). If he can return to the WCW version in the ring, now that he has had surgery on his foot this could actually be a really smart move.

I also like how Scott Steiner still has his sirens music..

                  Forgot about the sirens.

While right now I think bringing in Stiener is a short term ratings band aid, if he's healthy, it would defenitly work out. I just don't believe that he is healthy. He will never be half of what he was in his last run in WCW, which was great.

If the WWE run ruined his legacy (it did), as a fan, I hope he reclaims his respect. I just don't see it happening.

Yup and thats exactly why I said, I am willing to give him the benefit of the doubt because I don't want to rule out anything yet.

I was disappointed at first when Steiner came out on Sunday night, but I think more and more that he will help out the company more than we all think. It gives them another well known name in the biz, now if they get Goldberg I hope that is it with bringing in more names until they get more TV time.

Yeah, if Goldberg comes in ...end it. But I would rather see Chris Jericho or Rikishi in TNA. Why because Goldberg looks Bad on pros vs joes

LOL, I'll have to check that show out to see for myself. I would imagine he isn't as big as he was during his carerr.

Jericho's a no brainer, but I'm suprised you'd rather see Rikishi than Goldberg. Care to to eloborate?

Goldberg- looks bad now and looks almost out of shape.

Rikishi- Has been wrestling off and on down on the Indy scene. I would like to see what Rikishi can do without a stupid gimmick and the butt in your face stuff in the WWE. I would like to see the "Bada**" Rikishi if you will when he made his arrival in the WWE debuting with the Rikishi Driver.
