Re: Hart will not be at WM22 and may walk out of the HOF
HBK said in his book he knew about it.Originally posted by BGarrett7So says Shawn.
That he'd do it again if had too.
It was Business first, and a little bit of personal satisfaction as well. The guy that tried to bury him from the time he was a Rocker till the time he won the WWE championship was Bret Hart. Karma comes back to get you in the damndest ways.
Long Live Montreal.
If Bret can't let it drop, much like Vince, who's really the bigger of the 2. Neither.BeyondMediaOnline.comComment

Re: Hart will not be at WM22 and may walk out of the HOF
Around the time of the big screw job was Brett heading to WCW? if so why would he think he was going let him leave with the belt?Comment

Re: Hart will not be at WM22 and may walk out of the HOF
He didin't want to drop the belt in Canada. He wouldn't have left for WCW with the belt, but Bischoff could go on and on about how the WWF Champion was officially under contract. Just big egos going to war...if it wasn't a complete, total WORK.Originally posted by mvb34Around the time of the big screw job was Brett heading to WCW? if so why would he think he was going let him leave with the belt?xbl gamertag: jiggidyjames72Comment

Re: Hart will not be at WM22 and may walk out of the HOF
I really did not want to bring this old thing up but I never personally understood why Bret could'nt just drop the title to Shawn in the states 8 days after survivor series on raw. He was under contract till the end of november and the series took place on the 9th, by that time he would of been back in the states and he could of dropped the title and moved on.Comment

Re: Hart will not be at WM22 and may walk out of the HOF
Okay what I ment was it seemed like the WWE was trying to be consistent introducing their HOF members at mania the day after the HOF ceremony, and it looks like Bret might be their for that, 1 of 3 things at mania I was looking forward to.Originally posted by bigmarkHAHAComment

In a perfect world, yes. But you have to remember, even if Bret didn't go on Nitro with belt, Bischoff could go on an on about having the WWF World Champ under contract. It wouldn't have been good for Vince & Co.Originally posted by CanuckJI really did not want to bring this old thing up but I never personally understood why Bret could'nt just drop the title to Shawn in the states 8 days after survivor series on raw. With that said, Bret Hart was unreasonable. Like he never jobbed in Canada before? Give me a break. Three big egos, that's all.
But then again, of course...IT WAS ALL A WORK.xbl gamertag: jiggidyjames72Comment

I could see Bischoff doing that too so your right, but if Bret's contract did not end with wwf till the 30th of November then his wcw contract would not start till the beginning of December.Originally posted by JiggidyJamesIn a perfect world, yes. See, something that doesn't make sense. You're exactly right. If the contract wasn't up until the 30th, why not, right? There still was some risk, but when something doesn't make sense, it's BS.
