Well im glad Cena won, but wow was this a crappy PPV.

remind me to NEVER order another WWE PPV outside WM and SummerSlam.

I feel like I just got raped by the wwe.

from all accounts it was average... what did you not like about it?

I don't order ppv's... but with 3 matches reaching 3 stars or better I'd say it sounds like the quality of wrestling was pretty decent.

yeah, I say it was an average ppv but, the Dud,negative, 1/2 and 3/4 of a star doesn't exactly help.

Co-sign. Chicago is a great example as it a very smarky wrestling town. I however am glad Cena retained. The WWE is getting exactly what they want- You guys will tune in in hopes that he drops the belt, and the fans will tune in hoping he keeps it. Cena is a great character in that he's either extremely loved or hated. There is very little middle ground with him, which is why he is a perfect candidate to hold that belt (from a marketing standpoint). Whether he comes to your town and gets a chorus of boos, or thunderous cheers, the guy matters, he gets reactions from the crowd.

Here's to another year of Cena as champ!

Hopefully he doesn't drop it to RVD. The man is simply not entertaining outside of the ring (read: cannot cut a promo to save his life!). All the smarks want the pure wrestlers with no personality to win the title, but we all saw how well that worked for Benoit. To be champ and have a good reign, you gotta have charisma, thats why Benoit is back to chasing U.S. Titles after he was once on top of the mountain winning at mania. Since RVD has the IC belt, and really fits better in that division, I see no reason for him to win the world title. I would love to see the heat cena gets for beating him at ONS-II.

            Was the Trish injury legit?

If so, that means the Mickie James as psycho gimmick may very well be dead. Too bad as I really enjoyed it for the over the top humour of it all.

Average PPV, but all in all not worth the money. Honestly half the matches were pretty much not worth paying much attention to. The Kane match/promo/shameless pimping of a movie was a joke. I could understand them pulling something like that on Raw, but for ****s sake this is a PPV.

One has to wonder how long they'll continue to go with Cena. As long as he's creating heat and selling merchandise then they'll keep it up. Well if ONS2 has RVD vs Cena, there will certainly be more heat on Cena then it would be if it was Edge or HHH. I wouldn't put it past them to have RVD win, but then have Cena regain back on the next Raw.

It was a solid outing, not worth the $35 when you had TWO segements that should've been left for Raw: Big Show/Kane (which actually wasn't a bad match until the ending) and Striker!!!!~~(who I always mark for regardless...WHERE'S MY DUTCH?!). Even though the last one wasn't PPV worthy, it was Striker's usual, which means it was great. And for the record, he doesn't like poop, STRIKER LIKES JET SKIES!!! If you could make sense of any of my obscure Striker references, god bless you.

Umaga/Flair was a squash, Trish/Mickie was disappointing, and Vince/HBK put me to sleep, until the Spirit Squad came out. That woke me up, but that match was brutal to watch. It was WrestleMania rehashed.

Masters/Carlito was solid and Shelton/RVD was good. The main event was excellent, I really enjoyed that match.

That's just a quick rundown of what I thought. Work is a pain right now.

James, I feel the same way here about how this PPV turned out. Not worth the $35. I think that Lockdown was a little bit better, but not by much.

I thought Kane vs. Big Show was better than expected.

Ugama vs. Flair was terrible. I can't believe a legend like Flair getting beat by Jamal.

RVD vs. Benji and the Triple-Threat were the 2 best matches on the card.

I think that WWE is really shooting themselves in the foot by not having the tag titles be defended here. It hurts the credibility of the belts and we need something to break up all of the singles matches. WWE just really screws up their brand PPV's.

I thought that it was a bit better than Lockdown, but only because Lockdown was booked terribly. But that's another story for another thread. OK, I'll stop the comparisons with TNA. It wasn't as good as No Way Out, and I enjoyed New Year's Revolution more. It's not like this is the first time I've spent money on a PPV and it wasn't worth it. It won't be the last time, either.

I just want to touch on Kane real quick. I was really digging the match with Big Show until the silly ending. Now, I think that Show has been an underappreciated worker for awhile now. I knew going in that we could get something solid because of Kane. He seems rejuvenated since WrestleMania. The heel turn and movie seem to have lit a fire under Glen Jacobs the performer. I though for the past year or so he had been sluggish and sloppy in the ring, but in the past month he has really stepped his game up. Props to Kane.

It wasnt worked into the match which is why it was such a dissapointment. Especially with nothing happening at the end except the spirt squad destroying HBK then laying Vince on top.

they had "god" walk to the ring (as a spotlight) as vince taunted him but that was really it. Kinda funny and lame at the same time.

I just dont understand why 2 weeks ago they had the fireworks and stuff go off to "scare" vince like it was a sign from "god" then at the match there was nothing. I was expecting the fireworks or bolt of lightning to hit vince.

Well I heard this theory before on this board and it seems like the way it's going it's going to happen. RVD will win and ONS2 and throw the belt in the trash ala Shane Douglas and that will mark the creation of ECW. That would definately help seperate the brands. That way then they can do whatever they want with the title and have a lot to work with.
