What ECW alum is going to get the WWE title before then?

Cause it's really obvious he'll use his money then.

whoever mentioned it earlier is probably right. Edge wins the title at backlash, but loses it to RVD at One Night Stand, then RVD will end up losing the title to HHH.

If they do RVD vs. HHH, a former ECW alumni not in in the WWE should cost RVD the match and then they could feud or RVD would have to win. There is no way HHH can go over cleanly.

That would make the most sense. They could use Edge's match at Mania as a little fuel that he can wrestle the ECW style or whatever. Then at ONS have RVD beat him for it, and hold it until the next PPV when HHH would win it back and have his long reign into next year's Mania.

I can't see then having RVD using the MITB at ONS and losing. Just wouldn't be a good way to have to fans leave. But at the same time, as much as I like watching RVD in the ring, I don't want to see him as World champ for an extended period. He doesn't have the mic skills that are required in the E to make the main event scene intriguing.

It would suck for Edge though. His second transitional title reign in half a year, not cool. He deserves a shot to run with the title for awhile...

Edge vs. RVD at ONS...book it.

I remember like the day of last year's show an article somwhere with RVD caught my eye. It was a shoot (Edge was an "invader" last year, remember...history) and RVD said that Edge is guy who always tells him that he wished he could've wrestled in ECW, how much fun it would have been, etc.

And like I said, Edge and Angle are the only guys in the current title picture who were "invaders" last year, so there's you backstory. I don't mind seeing a WWE guy at an ECW show. Jerry Lawler anyone?

Wow, if you want to see some one draw heat in the ECW arena, just watch Wrestlepalooza 97!!! Holy crap, Lawler created some SERIOUS hatred in that arena that night (in the middle of an hour of the greatest continuous booking job that any one has ever done - wow).

This is just an idea I'm throwing out there, but... With all the draft talk we've been hearing about, what if Mysterio ends up on Raw, or RVD ends up on Smackdown, before the PPV. He could then use his money in the bank against Rey at the PPV, and it would be ECW talent vs. ECW talent.

                Just a thought.

I just got that show on DVD recentley and you really just have to watch the event to get the picture of heat that the crowd is giving Lawler.

Certainly possible with the draft lottery coming up, would be a great match too. Just have to wonder how WWE is gonna book this match, with ECW or WWE in mind, you have to assume the latter I think.

ONS sold out in less than 2 hours, and I missed out on tickets.

If any one has any extras, please let me know.

                          - This morning tickets for ECW One Night Stand show sold out very quickly. Tickets were said to be sold in under two hours. There was an estimate 2500 tickets put on sale in the small Hammerstein Ballroom. Prices this year were lowered from last year. There was also a higher demand for tickets after the show they put on last year.

I just watched One Night Stand for the first time the other day, I would love to go to the next one. That place has such electricity, perfect wrestling venue for ECW.

Look for RVD Vs CENA at ONS because Triple H wants to go face and they figure putting Cena in the Main Event at ONS would get him booed right out the building and allow him to turn Heel.

                                - Dave Meltzer reports that John Cena rather then Triple H is now very likely to take on Rob Van Dam at this year's ECW PPV and that the WWE may use this as a way to turn Cena heel. Also there is talk with Cena turning heel that by Summerslam Triple H will turn face.

                                - Speaking of the ECW PPV, Meltzer also reports that the event might be called Hardcore Hangover.
