Sounds like a good way to get it started.... Once it gets a timeslot on TV, and its own arenas Velocity will be brought back... Personally I can't wait to see what Heyman and Dreamer do with the product.

As a temporary thing, this isn't as bad as some people will have you believe. It'll introduce the WWE fan to these guys until they can run shows on their own. Hopefully, those shows are run on the East Coast. Yes, I'm greedy.

Having the show on WWE.com or ECW.com would be a great way to re-start the ECW brand. They would be allowed to push the envelope a lot more without tv restrictions as well and that would give it a true "extreme" feel to the show.

I can't wait to watch it!

Same thing here. I stopped watching WWE shortly after the Invasion storyline with Stephanie McMahon becoming the "owner". I suffered ECW hangover for almost two years, watching WWE programming at the most maybe once a month.

Everything started, to put it plainly, suck after ECW went under. I went to indy shows at the Elk's Lodge (The Madhouse of Extreme), and they just weren't the same. Even the ROH Anniversary show held there was lame compared to all the ECW shows I went to.

As far as capturing the glory...Who are you to doubt Paul Heyman? My hopes aren't high, but I buy into the "Paul Heyman is a genius" way of thinking. And Vince McMahon is no jamook either.

If it is anything like it used to be I will mark out bigtime. The thing I liked about ECW was they could have almost anyone wrestle and it would be a great show. They would put on a great wrestling match with some extreme spots thrown in their every now and then. Because of the style of matches they used to have it seemed like everyone was over regardless of size or look. If they could go in the ring that was what mattered.

Wonder if they'll bother shelling out for the themes or if they'll just use the crappy WWE made songs like on the DVDs.

This is something I was thinking about the other day.

While I marked out last year when RVD came to the ring for his promo, it didn't feel the same. Not because he had a cast on his leg, but because he didn't come out to "Walk" by Pantera (perhaps it was the remake, by who I forget). Him winning a World Title without it will be weird to me. I mean, I can't really sing along with his theme, and I doubt most in attendance will be able.

As far as Sandman would go, "Enter Sandman" is an expensive song to get the rights to. You're dealing with Metallica and major record label. Two tough entities. You sell alot of DVDs, you shell out alot moolah. I don't know about using the Motorhead remake, though.

I can't think of anyothers.

Throughout the day I've been getting more and more pumped for this... What I think they need to do though is take some talent from Raw and Smackdown to add them to ECW... I'd add CM Punk, a couple other OVW guys... Shelton, Regal, all the cruisers.... or at least the best one's... I'd also sign back Akio... And maybe one or two other guys... I think they could really get huge even to the point where maybe a superstar decides to stay with ECW than jump to Raw or Smackdown (storyline wise).... Then I could see this thing making it big. Just imagine pure wrestling, crazy storylines and just some awesome television... Come on Paul, make this work!

(1) They'd better play Pantera's Walk at ONS 2.

(2) I really hate the idea of taping ECW in front of a half-empty big arena. What the hell is "ECW" about that?????
