Heyman given "draft picks" for ECW

" Mr. McMahon has announced that in an effort to boost the new ECW brand, Paul Heyman will be given two draft picks – one from RAW and one from SmackDown.

Who Mr. Heyman will choose is anyone’s guess. Will he make that announcement on RAW tonight? WWE.com caught up with Heyman to find out.

“Well, first of all, I don’t think Mr. McMahon gave me anything,” said Heyman about his two draft picks. “I think ECW earned the right to have a draft pick from RAW and from SmackDown. I guess this is in addition to any former ECW wrestlers that come back.

So Tazz IS leaving the announce team for ECW? Since he's on the roster.

So maybe it's RAW=RVD, SD=Tazz as his picks. Going to be an interesting night of wrestling.

I wouldn't go as far as to say they are behind TNA... but they are in a down period over the last few months...


If I'm TNA I'm terrified by the fact they are bringing Angle to ECW... It shows they are committed to actually having good matches, hell they could end up being the real alternative to WWE... TNA has tried but they have become to Sports Entertainment oriented over the last few months... I really do believe ECW may be the alternative to all the stuff that is out there right now.

If I'm TNA I'm terrified by the fact they are bringing Angle to ECW... It shows they are committed to actually having good matches, hell they could end up being the real alternative to WWE... TNA has tried but they have become to Sports Entertainment oriented over the last few months... I really do believe ECW may be the alternative to all the stuff that is out there right now.

If I was tna I would strike at the draft and hurt all the picks and hurt the chairmen and wrestlers. TNA needs to strike soon or there wont be a chance for them to beat WWE. I really think ECW wont last long for two reasons it will out show smackdown and raw and he will be jealous.

But I will add that it's not only TNA that should be afraid. Every indy and every smarky smark are going to have their foots shoved down their throats.

Indys are done. I mean it. Much like VKM killed the territories, he's gonna kill these guys. New Alhambra is going to be exclusive to ECW, along with many other smaller venues up and down the east coast. The top indy talent are going to be signed to exclusive deals. That does that.

The smarks are in for it. For years they have cried, moaned and yelled about how Vince "didn't get it". "He didn't know wrestling", they would lament. Now, what can they complain about?

I do realize that it's waaaaay too early, but after last night, there's no way that this isn't working out.
