Well, I completely marked out tonight....

As I've mentioned on OS before, I work in Media Relations for the Birmingham Barons, the Double A affiliate of the Chicago White Sox. I meet ball players, coaches, former players all the time. But I finally turned into a fan tonight, and I did it for of all people....

Dale Torborg, WCW's Kiss Demon





That's right, I marked out for the Demon. Dale now works as the roving Strength and Conditioning coach for the White Sox organization, and I had heard rumors that he was in the ballpark, but when he walked into the press box this evening, I lost it. I believe I made the comment, "Holy Piss, that's the Demon, Dale Torborg." My comment drew a big smile from him and he walked over and shook my hand. I talked to him for a little while. He's a really nice guy, and was sporting this really nice TNA ring that he said he and AJ Pierzynski (sp?) were given after their appearances last winter. It was a cool moment, and one of the highlights of my time I've been with the Barons.

I once helped teach Nigel Mcguinness(He's appeared in TNA once or twice haha) how to play Texas Hold'em.

J/P. Pretty cool to see that he got into something after wrestling. If I saw him myself, I'd chew his ear off. KISS and wrestling? That guy must have some stories.

yeah he used to work for the Florida Marlins as their strength and conditioning coach... I see he made the move to the White Sox... good for him... Being the Kiss Demon on the other hand is not a good thing.

I worked as local crew for WWE Raw in Fayetteville, NC on June 26th. That was awesome to say the least. You cant geek out there though b/c they will send your a** home but it was cool.

Talked to Dale again last night before the game, and he's a really cool guy. I spent probably 30 minutes just asking him questions, and surprisingly he was cool with that. He had some great stories about the KISS guys and learning to do the fire spitting trick and such.

He still is...no title changes in ROH so far this year.

And since I looked to you so heavily about a year ago when I got into that promotion, you need to atleast check out some stuff from the milestone series!! Some of the best wrestling shows I've ever seen...without Low Ki that is. Plus Jay Lethal is coming back in August, and KENTA and the Dragon Gate guys are putting on some incredible matches.

Yeah, I believe he said they also have a 10 month old baby girl.
