Yeah. DQs aren't the cushion for the champion like they are in WWE.

That's beyond stupid... if I'm the challenger I'd pay someone to come out and crack me over the head with a chair.... boom instant DQ for the Champ and I'm now the new Champion...

If I remember correctly, I think they've tried that. LOL!!! They've used it a couple times in the past with the tag belts, it's referee's descretion I guess and must be self inflicted I suppose. If it's outside interference, the referee usually allows the bout to continue, but I have seen the champion get dq'd because of their own actions and the titles change hands. I think AMW lost the title this way back on the weeklys once.

Been watching TNA since Day 1, yep that's the rule. It makes me cringe when they talk about it though, it makes me wonder if they are planning on ruining a great match with it, but it's been a while since they've used it.

If the title match was at VR after the Four Way and Joe won it all, there wouldn't be anything to him beating Jarrett. He'd be the super strong guy who beat five guys in one night. The match would be more overbooked than usual since a tired Joe surely shouldn't be able to cleanly beat a rested Double J. And that would lead us into a feud where Jarrett chases the belt and turns himself face. Then JJ feuds with Steiner and we all complain.

In other words, if there's a week build for Joe/JJ and Joe kicks his *** and chokes him out, 100% clean with no overbooking...it does alot more. The anticipation of Joe winning has to be there.

Jarrett has to put over Joe. That has to happen one on one with a story behind it. By beating the man that no one could and keeping him out of the title picture for a bit would work wonders for him. It did for a guy named Batista.
They are better off having Sting win and beat Jarrett for the title next month. Have Joe continue the feud with Scott Steiner because it's a good feud. Then have Sting and Christian (turning heel) feud while Joe feuds with Steiner and Jarrett. Then once Christian wins, you have a Joe vs. Christian feud which could carry TNA for a while with Joe eventually winning the title. Because the title chase is likely to be better than the actual title run, they shouldn't rush it.

Yes, the chase should defenitly be better. Maybe you're right...it's just they've dragged everything out for so long I don't know how much time they have left.

I don't know if its they've drug it out so long, or the fact, we only get 1 hour a week thats making it feel so long. If they had a 2 hr show, or even 1 1/2 hours, they could do alot more. But I agree with what you guys are saying. Maybe this is finally Jarrett's last run and he wants to pass the torch to the right person this time.

Not just Joe. They should've pulled the trigger on Christian/Sting, but leaving Sting off TV for all those weeks delayed that. We got a half-assed Sting/Jarrett program that accomplished nothing. They've wasted the past year on trash, and it had nothing to do with only having an hour.

And there was no question...Christian was the right guy. He was white hot, cutting great promos and gave TNA a buzz that they never had. He went from the upper mid-card of the WWE to TNA. They flushed it all down the toliet.

I'm worried that if they wait too long, it'll be too late. History is against them.

I feel smart right now and imagine this will happen.
