ECW may be getting it's own taping schedule...

According to PWInsider.com, WWE officials are now strongly considering giving ECW its own permanent taping schedule.

The general consensus backstage this week, even from those who were initially against separate ECW tapings, was that the crowd significantly enhanced this week's show.

The only constant for ECW right now is its television deal, which, from all accounts, is stable. WWE will be evaluating both the television taping format and the house show schedule in the coming weeks to set a course for ECW's future.

That'd be awesome, I noticed they are kinda weak on their schedule for TV Tapings already...they don't have THAT much scheduled.

If Vince had any clue about ECW, he would've done this from the start. You can't run ECW themed shows in front of Smackdown and WWE fans. I mean, I remember I think it was the 2nd show...during the tag team main event, the fans were chanting "we want Cena"....wtf?!? The crowd and their reaction means a lot, it adds soooo much to the show...we saw that on Tuesday.

I wish they'd just run the show permanently out of the Hammerstein Ballroom.

it was in Roanoke, it was RVD vs. Angle... Giggas and I were there.... on the bright side we almost beat down a child chanting for Cena.

They should have a separate taping. It also helps develop new talents by giving them Dark matches. And that lets ECW fans see ECW not Smackdown and vise-verse. Tape the show in smaller arenas or like I said just the Hammerstein Ballroom. That also gives the wrestlers a homebase like TNA. I know all the travel that the wrestlers do takes a toll on them.

We also have to remember that WWE doesn't exactly want to run live TV out of the ECW Arena due to its conditions.

They can't run out of the old ECW Arena for some reason. Not pyro, since they didn't have any on Tuesday anyway.

They CANNOT only run it out of Hammerstein. The audience will get burned out after a bit. Start with small venues in old ECW cities like Florida, Dayton, NYC, Philly (there's got to be some place), maybe somewhere in NJ. Then expand it. If people in other cities see what's going on in these places, they'll follow suit.

Definately smaller arenas, like the ones there going to house shows with. I'm going to one about an hour away from Philly in Bethlehem. I'm hoping there's some fans from Philly and the crowd won't be dead.
