Official Smackdown vs RAW 2007 Countdown Thread

September 11, 2006 - For six consecutive years IGN and THQ have teamed up to bring our readers an ongoing exclusive look at the superstars of the WWE, and this season is no exception. Famous the world over, our "SmackDown Countdown" chronicles each wrestler, diva, and legend that will appear in WWE Smackdown vs RAW 2007, and comes complete with never-before-seen screenshots and direct-feed movies of every last one of them.

Every day for the next nine weeks, we'll profile more than 60 different personalities (including two each on Mondays and Fridays as a special homage to Raw and SmackDown fans), and for the first time ever, will cover two different platforms with images and video from both the PlayStation 2 and Xbox 360 versions. Hot stuff? You bet.
But enough with the formalities it's time to throw down with today's Countdown superstar, Big Show!

I read about 2-3 weeks ago that there will be no ECW stuff in this game which kind of sucks.

Yeah, kind of disappointing. Hopefully they update some of the themes, and champs in the game before release.

That's not what's important to me, Big Show has had new music for 2 months. And I have no clue why he has a tag belt, last time he was tag champion was with Kane. I hope it's more updated than that.

I hope so too since August is the cutoff date that SD always has no further roster updates done to it every year.

My thoughts exactly, atleast give us accurate attire/themes. It'd be nice if they'd be able to do some of that on XBL, but then what would be the point of making SD vs RAW 2008?

SDvRaw2006 had a pretty good CAW on PS2. It's by far the best create-a-anything on any videogame to date IMO. Hopefully the 360 version isnt lacking in this area.

i'm waiting to see if there is any differences besides graphics and load times between the 360 and ps2 versions. i'm wondering if there will be a legend exclusive to the psp version that you could transfer to the ps2 like jake the snake last year or if there is something like ripping custom themes for created wrestlers on the 360. i'm very tempted to buy a 360 the day 07 is released, but just waiting for something to push me over the ledge.

Apparently custom theme music is out for the Xbox360. Not sure why THQ/Yukes couldn't implement it, but it didn't make it this year. I think the biggest advantage besides graphics, will probably be the XBL play.

since the WWE still owns rights to "The Rock" is it possible that he will be in this game or at least will his theme music and intro be there so we can create him? this would prob. push me over the edge for buying it.
