Going to an ROH show on the 28th...

I don't really know too much about it other than it is an Independent promotion. Just wondering who are the faces, heels, etc. or anything else I should know before going.

You got a good show to look forward to.

I don't know how it is out in Chi-Town, but here in NYC, the crowd can be very annoying...and smelly. Seriously.

Bryan Danielson is the champ, and as you know he'll be going against Samoa Joe. They've fought twice this year I believe and each time they ended in a draw. Danielson gets a ton of respect from the crowd, even though he plays a heel. Joe is a crowd favorite because, well, he's Samoa Joe.

Chris Hero & Claudio Castigniolli are the tag champs and are defenitly heels (from that whole CZW/ROH thing). I honestly don't know who they're feuding with right now.

Jim Cornette is the authority figure. Steve Corino is back and appears to be heading for a match with Homicide. They had a long, bloopdy, fun feud at the start of the promotion and this will be their finale. You'll probably see some build for that since Corino goes up against Delerious. Delerious is a masked wrestler who doesn't do any one thing great, but isn't really bad at anything. He won ROH's Survival of the Fittest Tournament at the last show, meaning he gets a title shot soon.

I'll admit, I have to brush up on my ROH since the only time I really get to see it is when it comes to NYC. And I couldn't make the last show (I wanted to, Bruno Sammartino was there).

I will be at this show front row baby. ROH is geared toward the in ring action so if you are expecting sports entertainment you are going to be disappointed.

Sweet, my buddy and I will be sitting 6th row. I've heard that it isn't like WWE and I'm excited about that. I used to watch WWF/WWE, but it got stale right around the time Cena came around.

Edit: Thanks for all the info, Jiggidy. Apparently, they are taping this show to distribute on DVD which means it'll be good.

I'm going 11/3 when ROH returns to Boston...err, Braintree.

The show starts at 8... what time should I get there guys? I'll probably take the day off so I can hang out in the city for a while and then head south for the show and beat some of the traffic. Can't wait, and the card's really looking solid.

If you want to buy some tapes before the show I would say be inside the building about an hour before the event is scheduled to start. There is usually a pretty good line at the merchandise tables.

Cool, thanks. What time do they start letting people in usually?

I probably won't need the merchandise table, just bought War of the Wire II through the England shows. Again, I have a problem.

Expect to see the best in-ring action you have ever seen. It will be on a different level than what you have seen before, that is if you have only seen WWF/E before.

MOTY 2005: Samoa Joe vs Kenta Kobashi - This took place in October of 2005 and Meltzer(sp?) gave it *****. It was one of the greatest matches I have ever seen.

MOTYC 2006: KENTA -vs- Bryan Danielson and Nigel McGuiness -vs- Marafuji. These matches took place at RoH Glory by Honor V. I heard that Glory by Honor V was not only RoH's biggest show to date, but one of the best wrestling events ever.

So yeah, RoH is the truth and I wish I had a chance to watch some of their matches.

For those going to the show tomorrow there will be a buy 3 get 1 free sale going on for ROH tapes.

Jobashi was the most overrated match of the year. Not even close to being Joe's best match of the year let alone ROH's best match.

Bah! I always hear people say that and I will always disagree. That match was simply amazing. IMO anyway

KENTA -vs- Low Ki at Final Battle 2005 was up there as well. Definately in my top 5 for matches in 2005.
