    Lockdown to be held...

    ...in St. Louis.

(January 23, 2007) - Total Nonstop Action (TNA) Wrestling announced today that "Lockdown 2007" will be held live at the Family Arena in St. Louis on April 15, airing exclusively on pay-per-view.

TNA President Dixie Carter made the announcement tonight live on "The Stranglehold" radio show (KFNS 590 AM) in St. Louis. She also confirmed that the April weekend in St. Louis also will include an all-access chance to meet the stars of TNA at "TNA Fan Interaction," which puts the stars of TNA up close and personal with the fans for a once in a lifetime meet-and-greet opportunity.

"Lockdown" is unlike any other wrestling pay-per-view in that every match takes place inside TNA's infamous Six Sides of Steel, promising some of the most unforgettable moments of the year.

The announcement comes on the heels of St. Louis Cardinals shortstop and World Series MVP David Eckstein announcing that "Team Eckstein" would battle "Team Pierzynski," led by Chicago White Sox catcher A.J. Pierzynski, on Feb. 11, at the "Against All Odds" pay-per-view in Orlando.

Tickets for "Lockdown" will go on sale at 10 a.m. CT, Friday, February 16, at the Family Arena Box Office (2002 Arena Parkway, St. Charles, MO 63303), all Metrotix outlets, online at Metrotix.com or by calling (314) 534-1111

Several TNA stars will be in St. Louis for the on-sale event. Full details about the Feb. 16 autograph session will be available at www.TNAWrestling.com.

TNA Wrestling delivers a distinct brand of high-risk, athletic entertainment. TNA's roster includes the biggest names in wrestling today, such as Kurt Angle, Sting, Christian Cage, Jeff Jarrett and Team 3D, as well as hot young talent such as AJ Styles, Christopher Daniels, Samoa Joe and Chris Sabin TNA features the innovative six-sided ring and the high-flying "X Division," as well as concept matches such as "Ultimate X," "King of the Mountain," and "Six Sides of Steel."

TNA Entertainment, LLC is a privately held company headquartered in Nashville, Tenn. For more information, visit www.tnawrestling.com.

"TNA Thursday Night iMPACT!" airs every Thursday at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Spike TV. Spike TV is available in 90 million homes and is a division of MTV Networks. MTV Networks, a division of Viacom International Inc.
Team Eckstein/Team Pierzynski is a small price to pay for them getting out of the Impact Zone.

I feel the same way. The Orlando crowd is killing TNA also.

Team Eckstein/Team Pierzynski....inside of a steel cage, I am not sure how smart that actually is too put 2 big named athletes in a cage. I just wouldn't even think about doing something like that.

No way it happens, This will be held during the Baseball season and Im positive they'll have games that day, I just couldnt see 2 pro baseball players having a match in a Cage and risking the chance of gettin hurt while being paid millions of dollars.

exactly...so I wouldn't see the point unless. AJ and David are on the outside of the cage, which would leave The Demon and Hoyt in the match inside the cage...then have either David or AJ do something to prevent one of them from getting out of the cage.

You guys didn't read it close enough.

David and AJ's teams are facing of at Against All Odds, not Lockdown.

                    Re: Lockdown to be held...

If it is in St. Louis, presuming they have day games on a Sunday, they could each easily make it there. I can't see them going in ring though, an injury would make either one the laughing stock of baseball and could void their k.

I just hope that Lockdown is better this year as opposed to last year.

My only concern is Missouri is one of those states that don't allow blood in wrestling, correct? For being an all Steel Cage PPV, the wrestling better be superb, if they aren't allowed to bleed at all. I could be wrong about this though.

They worked something out with the Athletic Commission, supposedly.
