Wow.....frustrating! (SVR07)

So i'm simming through season mode to get to the Rumble so I can unlock Austin. I wind up the 23rd entrant with Angle. So I come out, and immediately, as soon as I hit the ring, Finlay grabs me, whips me onto the apron, and someone else joins him to eliminate me. How frustrating is it that you HAVE to win the Rumble just to unlock a superstar? I'm usually good at Rumbles too, but not that time.

Then, to top things off, the game autosaved my progress after the match, so I couldn't reset and get back to the Rumble. Now, I have to simulate all the way back to the Rumble to unlock Austin.

Got a question though. Does anyone know which season gets to the Rumble quicker, Smackdown or RAW? It seems they both start at different PPV's. Thanks. Also, any tips on the Rumble to make it easier? Haha.

I've found that it helps in the Rumble if you play as a bigger guy, someone like Undertaker, Kane, Big Show, or Khali. These guys can sometimes eliminate the light-heavyweights without having to bring up the ring-out meter, either by grapple-punching them off the apron while they are hanging on to it, strong Irish-whipping them out of the ring, or using the military press slam R3 grapple move to throw one of em over the top rope (in Undertaker's case, his R3 chokeslam should work as well to throw someone out).

The rumble's impossible unless you're a big guy. If you're not stay away from the ropes, and watch for the irish whips.

yeah just try and stay in the middle of the ring... and use a big guy like everyone has said... it's the easiest way to win the match by far.

any cheat codes to unlock austin,the rock and others,having a tough time as well

wow, i guess i just got extremely lucky, i won the rumble on my first try with Matt Hardy

also, if your just trying to unlock them, when it comes time for the rumble, change the difficulty to easy.

I won it with Triple H. What's frustrating, is my first time through I lost the match before and didn't even get a shot at the Rumble.

The storyline I hate the most though is the legends one where you have the belt and have to face off against Hogan in the cage. I've lost the belt twice in that one. I can beat the crap out of Hogan for 20 minutes yet he somehow can knock me down long enough to sneak out of the cage before I can get to him.

Well, I finally lucked out the other day and beat the Rumble after I restarted season with the Undertaker. I lucked out when I entered at 23, as it was me and only two other superstars, one of which was being pushed off the apron. So I grabbed the other, threw him out immediately, and then just waited near the ropes for the next entry and irish whipped him out.

Such a pain in the a** just to unlock Austin though, haha.

If you sim the Rumble you automatically win and unlock Austin. Worked for me.
