    Rating for "This is TNA"

According to 1wrestling.com, last night's special scored a 1.2 rating. I hope this finally tells TNA to just focus on what makes their audience happy. It's very apparent that TNA has it's fans and WWE has their fans. Ratings for each product has been consistent forever now. It's time for TNA to stop trying to recruit WWE fans and find the base of their own. Still a decent rating though. Actually, I didn't think it'd be that good considering most TNA fans have seen it all. The positive thing is that the rating was 115% better than what is normally ran in that timeslot and finished 3rd among all ad supported cable networks.

1.2 on a 2 hour Monday night wrestling show is a "decent rating." It's a horrible rating and I'm sure TNA management is very upset about it.

I think in total viewers, but usually around a 4 something.

It doesn't matter what Meltzer or any other so called wrestling know it all thinks, as long as SpikeTV is happy with it. Seeing they threw TNA a party after the tapings last night, it's almost certain the 2 hours is on the way, and I can't wait!!

            1.2 is good for TNA.

For a WWE Show it would be abysmal (see: ECW picking up like 1.4s regularly I think.)

For a show that hovers around the 1.0 mark, thats an improvement. TNA is never going to take away viewers from the E, so they need to focus on not driving away the fans they do have now. All that matters is if Spike is happy with it. If so, they will get their timeslot.

Well if they threw a party last night after the tapings, What would that have to do with Ratings?

I thought it was good last night tho

I wasn't saying it had anything to do with the ratings. I was just pointing out that SpikeTV must be ready to give the ok on the 2 hour slot by giving them a party.

It's an ok rating, could have been better knowing that there was no WWE on Monday night. Again, this was a "Best of Show", which was very well done.....but TNA should have taped 2 hours of wrestling. Granted the PPV was the night before, but what if all of management and the wrestlers had their families/friends be the fans in the crowd instead of outside fans, then nothing would have leaked to the internet on the card or even the results of the PPV.

I know I over analyze these things, but from a business standpoint they really should have tried to capitalize on pulling in more viewers with a fresh show. Oh well!

1.2 is a decent rating, and I agree this was a "Best of Show" and now TNA Wrestling...they just wanted to take this time for some reason to introduce TNA, but like you said they should have taped 2 hours of wrestling seeing as how there wasn't any on Monday...it would have been perfect, however TNA dropped the ball on that one.

Didn't they do the TV tapings for Impact on Monday night? If so, why not do a live 2-hour special edition of Impact on Monday, replay it Thursday night for the TNA regulars who couldn't watch on Monday(and so they could test going head-to-head with Raw), and then do the TV tapings next Monday?

Seems like it would have made more sense than putting on a pointless Best of Show which IMO did little to bring in new fans.

I have two problems with TNA, one being the six sided ring is just ridiculous and doesn't translate into good matches like the traditional ring does. The other being the announcers are like an infomercial constantly bringing up how TNA is so different, and not focusing on the action in the ring.
