Damn, this is horrible. He was always fun to watch when he was wrestling Masato or Spike. RIP.

How many wrestlers have to die before this becomes the big deal that it should already be? Yeah, VKM has done his part with his *cough* "Wellness Plan" but that's only a start. He's only protecting his own commodities, and given the treatment dealt out to Sabu and Van Dam when they were busted with drugs last year, even then he's not being strict about it.

Something simply has to be done here.

EDIT: Didn't see Chief's reply [concering it being a suicide] until after I posted this. If that is the case, then my sincerest condolences go out to his family. Suicide is some deep ****, and I really feel for whatever Mike was going through to have to take his own life.
I don't know what guys like VKM can do for retired wrestlers once their done with the sport. Unless they come up with another program for retired wrestlers so they could get their lives back on track once done with the sport. This would require something larger.

Never forget the night Mike Awesome won the ECW title then the night he came to WCW. I seen him wrestle 4 times in person, the man was a monster up close. RIP Mike.

I don't know if anything can be done about the current batch of recently retired, but remember, today's wrestlers will someday be the recently retired, too. There needs to be some sort of program in place to prepare these guys for their life after their careers have come to an end.

Then again, if these wrestlers don't change their lives after seeing dozens of their friends and family die every year, what could anyone else possibly do to help them?

I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(
