Even Russo has his hands tied.......not like the 90's anymore or early TNA days where he had a bit more control.

Then it's even worse because one of TNAs problems stems deeper.

It's the three headed monster: Jarrett, Russo and Carter.

We all know about Double J, but Dixie is a complete moron. You get dumb (Russo), dumber (Jarrett) and dumbest (Dixie). Make no mistake, anyone who thinks that dX was going to accept that challenge has no business working for, let alone running, a wrestling promotion.

I have no sympathy for Russo. He's the one who has taken one step foward and two steps back with TNA. The change in philosophy since he's come on board is no coincidence.

Re: See, it's not even Russo.

Really, if they're that obsessed with getting everyone from their roster on each show, they need to cut down the roster drastically and quit bringing in more guys.

TNA has 40 active wrestlers on their roster. Compare that to ECW, which also only has a one hour timeslot, they only have 18 active wrestlers(and that's including Stevie Richards lol).

Hell, Raw and SD! each get two hours of airtime each week, and even they only have 30 active wrestlers a piece.

TNA needs to weed out the roster big time. They seem to have alot of lower midcard guys that they don't want to bury by feeding them to the big fish, but at the same time they don't have the TV time to properly develop their character and get them over with the viewers at home(not gonna say over with the crowd, but the crowd they have has no rhyme or reason to why they're cheering half the time). If you don't have time to use them properly, just get rid of them. They're wasting money and air-time.

Re: See, it's not even Russo.

I don't believe it. Who are these shadowy "TNA management" figures that demand that everybody be on every show? And why did they only start demanding this when Russo was re-hired? And why would they want to pay more each week when they're still losing money? Impact before Russo arrived was great... the talent was cycled throughout the month, giving most people some good time on TV, with (mostly) only the main eventers appearing weekly. The real problem isn't solved by deflecting the blame onto a mystery non-existant higher power, because we all know who the real problem is:

My point is this... TNA can be the company that it was six months ago. There is nothing stopping it going back to what it was. It was a real alternative to WWE, with a lot more focus on the wrestling, with less in-ring limits. Now, there is no real alternative to WWE because TNA is following the same sports entertainment booking style.

Good point, and to one I always make, they can't establish a legit push for anyone (or furthermore, create their own stars) if everyone's winning cheap matches with a distraction and a roll up. With all the talent in the X Division, you should never see that. But because you do, no one sinks to the bottom or rises to the top of the fray... they're all equally mediocre even though they're quite talented on a whole. They have some direction with their top players (Joe is clearly the future), LAX is about the one thing they've done right with tag teams, yet the part of the roster where the true wrestling talent lies is just stepping on each others toes trying to get an identity. For that, I fault the company, cause most of those guys have all torn up the indies and deserve exposure when they signed with TNA.
