Vince McMahon Hates The Old WCW Guys

Ok... quick history lesson here folks... Vince McMahon is a sick sonuvabitch. He still holds a grudge over WCW kicking his *** in the ratings for months and tries to bury any talent that didnt join him before he bought the place.

Look at everyone he has ****ed over in a sense. Booker T who was once a legitimate WCW main eventer is now a second rate Smackdown wrestler who was jobbed out to Steve Austin during the WCW Invasion and horribly demolished by Triple H. Goldberg, whom I am not a fan of, could have been a success if we wasnt forced to engage in ******** storylines and become Trips bitch. Hogan, Hall, and Nash were brought into the company in an insane manner. Hall was sober up until WWE management informed him he had to get off his medication. If im correct Hall was on a medication that would make him vomit if he drank booze. Sadly it didnt fit into the WWE's "Strict Drug Policy"....strict drug policy. Im sorry but a good number of Vinces home grown stars are products of some type of illegal muscle building substance. Its just common sense if you look at a few of them... as a former Indy Wrestler myself I can make some educated guesses on who is using the juice and who isnt... then again this is all just my opinion so dont take it as fact.

Now im not a big fan of this next guy either but by name alone he deserves some respect... Hulk Hogan. He was humilated and essentially forced out of WWE to try and save face... remember the Mr. America angle? *shudders* At least Hogan had the brass to leave. Ric Flair still sticks around so he can verbally fellate Triple H every Monday night. As for Nash... well that poor bastard needs an announcing job somewhere and out of the ring before he cant walk anymore.

Not that im upset with this next topic but what the hell happened to Scott Steiner? Yes it was a mistake to hire him. He was horrible in the ring and obviously didnt do any cardiovascular workouts to wear off ring rust. Yet we were forced to watch at least three months of push up and arm wrestling contests between him and Triple H. Im pretty sure Steiner was released awhile ago but im not sure the details of the whole thing. Anyone else got a clue?

Dont get me started on what they did to Chris Jericho... I can go for days.

Truth is that the WWE is on a major downfall ever since the WCW buy out. Mishandled talent and the pushing of family members has turned the once laid back WWF/WWE lockerroom into the WCW lockerroom of the mid and late nineties. If your a wrestling fan you know what that was like..... and everyone still wonders why Sting wont sign a WWE contract. I will tell you right now its not because Vince doesnt want him... im sure Vincent K. McMahon would just love to ruin the one wrestler who embodied WCW.

On an ending note to my rant... who would be interested in Paul Heyman writing and/or running NWA:TNA?

If you dont agree with my views please express yours. I love good wrestling debates with intelligent people. Ive been waiting awhile for the OS boards to have a thread dedicated to this.

Wow, this is so far off base it really ceases to be funny.

Booker T was the Smackdown champion until dropping the belt to Batista, he even got to controversially win the Champion of Champions match at Cyber Sunday. I would hardly say he is being relegated to a second class Smackdown wrestler.

Hulk Hogan is still in relatively good graces with the WWE is he not? IIRC, didn't get a Title run after coming back. He beat Randy Orton at Summer Slam as well. It isn't like he is jobbing to Hardcore Holly.

As for Scott Hall and Kevin Nash, they burned their own bridges when they jumped to WCW. Anything happening to them thereafter they brought on themselves.

Chris Jericho was the first ever undisputed champion and was from day one an upper midcard to main event guy in the WWE. He was pushed far more in WWE than he ever was in WCW.

As for Goldberg, he was the one who started crap with Triple H, and it came back to bite him. His attitude didn't help much either, but in terms of his WWE tenure he beat The Rock at a PPV, so it isn't like he wasn't pushed.

Scott Steiner is now in TNA, and like he was in the WWE he is a waste of time. He is too old, too slow, and too big to do much of anything other than be a bodyguard. He too burned his own bridges.

Booker has that King Booker gimmick, sure, and that he had the world title on Smackdown! when Batista was out but who else was going to do it? Batista was gone, Angle left, Orton went back to Raw...basically there was Rey and Booker. Undertaker could have stepped in, but seeing as it was Rey as champion and Batista was going to come back and pick up where he left off, they needed a heel transition. Booker was a necessity, not a choice!

As far as Hogan all I got to say is Mr. America you don't do that to A legand.

They gave Y2J A push and killed it buy puting Steph with him and barried him after that !

I don't really care about oldburg just making A point that they bury those guys as soon as they get over

Re: Vince McMahon Hates The Old WCW Guys

This is stupid, Look at the WWE Roster and lets see who there doing so bad from what we would call WCW Wrestlers

1- Ric Flair...I mean honestly sure he fought in WWE for a good year but he was full blood WCW and Are they doing him wrong?
          2 - Chris Benoit...Is there even a question?
3 - Chavo Guerrero - Is he not the cruiserweight Champion right now?
4 - Booker T - I mean honestly Booker T was not a Legit Heavyweight Champion in WCW , He won all his titles in the last what year? when there was pretty much no one else and that Company was falling apart..Still tho He has been just fine in WWE and held a bunch of titles.
5 - Mysterio - Did you watch Wrestlemania from last year?

          Guys gone

Kevin Nash and Scott Hall...Hall was washed up and Didnt Kevin Nash get a reasonable push ? Plus he was over the hill and like others said just gettin a little push was amazing

Hogan? My man has gotten almost everything he wanted

Steiner? Well didnt he get to world title shots in 03?

This is easily one of the Worst posts I've ever read, Vince hates old WCW guys? haha

Re: Vince McMahon Hates The Old WCW Guys

            I don't understand all this....

Vince will always love his boys more then the WCW guys but it's not like he has no use for former WCW stars. Yes, Jericho was treated badly for a time but it paled in comparison to the way WCW shafted him and at least Jericho got into high profile feuds and IIRC wasn't he the first or second universal champ (WWE/WCW united title)

Booker T has seen his fortunes rise and fall through the years but he's always been in entertaining programs and has gotten titles. So it's not like he got treated like crap.

Ric Flair is an old man living on past glories but he still gets to shine on a regular basis. Oh and if Vince really hates WCW guys he would've buried Flair so bad in his first stint in the WWF that it would be impossible for Flair to regain the reputation he had previously. Instead, Flair was treated like the legend that he is and if it weren't for egos running wild we would've had the dream match of Hogan/Flair at WM 8.

Eddy Guerrero also had a lot of exposure and tremendous success, same goes for Benoit.

It seems like he's stuck in 2001... It's 2007. It's no longer NWA:TNA... most of the guys you're talking about have won titles or have jumped to TNA.

                Goldberg was a POS.

Doesn't seem like he's watched wrestling for a while. I was legitimately shocked when I saw this post originated from today, and not 4-5 years ago.

Let's be honest here the only golden boy for Vince is HHH till the marriage ends and the only thing Vince cares about besides his family and HHH is money. I think the fans need to wake up and realise when Vince does his little promo about he thinks the fans are idiots and he thanks them for paying to see whatever he wants to give them and he could careless if they like or not, Well he's telling you the truth no acting there....I use to watch WWE but it's all the same now, when you have the same guys fighting every tv show and then they want you to pay for it on ppv just so they can have a rematch again right after for free is a joke, just look at the Wrestlemania card.

Thats actually Total B/s in my opinion.

Vince don't care about the fans? Have you watched some of his matches that he has had? Has he not gave everything he could for the fans to be like Holly ****, He might not be the best wrestlers but he's had so many matches where he took beatings and so on just for the fans.

There are 5 matches set right now...You my sir tell me of those 5 which have you ever seen before?

PS, I will say that Vince has in someway gave up a little bit on the Hardcore pure wrestling fans but to say he doesnt care about the fans and what they like is laughable.

I don't get wrestling fans sometimes. They bitch and moan about the WWE not being any good, but what do they do about it? Do they watch TNA? Do they buy ROH DVDs? Do they go to their local indy shows? No. They just complain about Vince and Stephanie and Triple H.

Hey guess what? Mr. WWE himself, JiggidyJames, stopped watching their programing during the Invasion. It lasted two years and every time I would try to watch, I couldn't. Why? Because it sucked. But you know what? I watched some TNA. I bought ROH videos and went to their shows. I went to USA Pro shows. I was still a wrestling fan and wasn't going to let the fact that ONE promotion stunk stop me from getting my wrestling fix.

Maybe people aren't aware of the alternatives they have. Well, we all here have access to the internet. There's no excuse.

I think it's because to the casual fan the alternatives are so bad that the fans stick with WWE.

The problem with looking for a true alternative to WWE is that their really is none that is fully established.

TNA and ROH are simply glorified indy feds. They will never translate into big national promotions that can survive long term, let alone compete with the WWE.

Well I think ROH can and will, but only with its current formula, not if it was on television weekly and put out monthly PPVS, it would just be another one in the mix trying to break through without any recognised talent to casual fans.

The problem as stated is that If ROH ever goes to national television, it loses its appeal. Sure the wrestling is great, but unfortunately because of the attitude era, it's entertainment that draws fans nowadays.

I'm more speaking about TNA here, In that I believe as an alernative to WWE they are failing. They are stuck around 1.0 to 1.1 and I cant see them getting anywhere near a 2.0 within the next year.

Even with their two hour show on that Monday WITHOUT competition they barely drew a 1.5. I could be wrong here, but in my estimation, they have stalled and are struggling to grow.

It would have probably been better if ROH was the company that went on TV and did the weekly PPVS a few years back and not TNA.

I actually agree with everything in your post, except ROH on TV. I think a late night slot on a regional sports station, a la ECW, can do a lot for them.

Maybe I was looking at it too much from the perspective of a "hardcore" fan like myself. I still think, however, that if your a wrestling fan, there's something out there for you. One of my friends barely watches WWE stuff anymore (he was a HUGE fan up until about 6 years ago) because he thought he outgrew wrestling. He went to an ROH show with me and had me pick him up six DVDs the next night.

Booker T was the Smackdown champion until dropping the belt to Batista, he even got to controversially win the Champion of Champions match at Cyber Sunday. I would hardly say he is being relegated to a second class Smackdown wrestler.

Yeah, but look how long it took for them to give the guy a run with the World title. And look at how my title shots he's gotten since he lost it. If you ask me,Booker and DDP should have gotten a Hall and Nash like push when they showed up in the WWE.

Trust me Vince would take him in a second. I saw a video on youtube of Sting talking about why he didn't sign with WWE. He said it was cause he didn't feel the WCW guys got respect, so I guess you are right with that. He mentioned how on Booker T's first WWE apperance The Rock looked at him and said, "Who are you?" Sting didn't think he would get respect and he might have been right. I doubt it though. He would've been treated like the legend he is. If Vince had Sting coming right off the WCW buyout he would have done everything in his power to keep him.

Booker had a good World Title run, and overcame a lot of crap. He jobbed to HHH, Austin, and whomever. I don't know how you can call him second rate. Jericho was mistreated. He was also the First Undisputed champion and was involved in major feuds. Steiner was just boring and awful in the ring like you said. The Hogan Hall and Nash thing is dumb. Hall got fired because he was arrested. Nash got hurt, like always, and Hogan is humiliated? That's why he showed up 4 times to pimp his daughter out to wrestling fans. He's all about the checks and if Vince gives him enough money he'll be there. He always will too. Nash came back eventually but he was completely washed up and the only reason he feuded with HHH was because they're friends.
