Re: Thinking of getting Smackdown vs. Raw 07
I think the game flows very smooth like move wise. The multiplayer is pretty fun, i think the season mode needs a hell of a lot of work. In season mode i have only been able to go for the WWE title, no IC or tag titles same on smackdown. Also not a lot of interaction in season mode, like you can't pick anything to say to someone very often, think i've done it once, it's all preset storylines. GM mode is pretty damn sweet though, been playing alot of that.
Those are my thoughts. -
Re: Thinking of getting Smackdown vs. Raw 07
If you played last year's (PS2) this one is better. I played every SvR and this one is still my favorite. It plays more realistic(for a phony sport!) I like the new grapple system using the stick for moves. The out of the ring inter-action-the graphics/the sliders that work well/the CAW/ah heck-go get it if your on the fence. If you like wrestling,I think you'll really enjoy this Next gen HD version! One more thought. I bought this game on it's release day. Many games have gone in and out of my 360 since then. BUT-this one and NCAA 07 are the only one's that stayed. And that's because with NCAA I'm into multiple dynasties until next season and SvR because it's versatile and fun.ByurrulzIdon'tfollowComment

I'd recommend it strongly if you are looking for a good multiplayer game. I can't attest to online play, I've never played it online.
If you are playing on the PS2, expect long load times. The loads on XBOX360 are markedly shorter, but still somewhat long for an XBOX360 game.
CAW is as strong as it ever was, though I will say that there aren't as many possible moves as there were in previous Smackdowns.
The in-ring action is pretty solid, IMO; the new Total Control grapples, while few in number, add a bit of spice to the game that wasn't there before. My signature move when I played against my friends was my character's feared "Airplane Spin of Doom"
The starting roster at this point is very, very dated, if that affects your decision to purchase it (it was pretty dated the moment it hit the shelves, actually). For example, the Mexicools still exist, Kurt Angle is in the game, there is no Jeff Hardy, and none of the Spirit Squad are present (not even Kenny). Also, there is no ECW presence in the game whatsoever, other than ECW Tazz, who is a hidden character, and any wrestlers who were on the game to start with but later jumped to ECW (Big Show, Lashley).
Season Mode is arguably a little bit better than last year's, but THQ and Yukes still have a ways to go in making it really work. GM Mode is fun, though.
All in all, if you've got a good group of friends to play with, get it and you'll have a blast. If not, you might want to rent it first.Comment
