A quick observation on WM for you guys

I just got done downloading WM23 so I can burn it... and for all you guys wondering, it seems Edge and Hardy are hurt legit.

The refs both made the "x" above their head, the first guy to do it (the SmackDown! official that was there right away did it off screen. Then a few minutes later the RAW official was down there and did it as well.

Did you ever stop to think that maybe they caught on to the fact that fans know about the "X" signal, so now they do it to make it seem like an injury is real when in fact, it isn't?

TJ, yes, but why would that stop them? They have to have a way to signal to the back.

Think what you want, but I think by the way Edge reacted that he messed his back up.

I think he is seriously hurt too. They way he hit and then immediately roll over and hold your back while you are going unconscious. Edge could be out for a long while. I'm not so much worried about Hardy. He was actually moving around on the floor a bit after it happened. He's also been involved in a lot of those sort of things.

The "x" is not the signal anymore, and has not been for a year or so.

My bad then. Shows how much I know.

I just think I remember seeing it after HHH tore his quad.

I didn't cathc the X signal, which made me (at first) think the injury was legit. I'm pretty sure they still use the X with worked injury spots.

Yeah the officials were half off screen when they were doing it.

I am willing to bet that Edge's injury is a work and that it was a way to write him out of the match from a previous injury. That or it was punishment for the recent SI article.

That being said, in a match like MITB, does the WWE have a backup plan in case the intended winner gets injured? For example, if Edge was to win and the Hardy spot went wrong, would Mr. Kennedy be plan B?

I imagine for a huge match like MITB, with months of bookings... yeah, it's pretty much planned, for every contingency.
