Update on TNA going 2 hours!!!!!

TNA and SpikeTV continue to negotiate with each other about expanding TNA on the network, reports Mike Johnson. Such talks include expanding Impact and adding additional TNA programming on the network. Spike is interested in building its relationship with TNA, since its been the only show that has delivered consistency as far as ratings goes, to the network, since UFC made its debut.

Also coming from Mike Johnson, is that possibly two other broadcast carriers are interested in TNA as well. One of them is the syndicated, MyNetwork TV (which is what many of the former UPN stations now are). The other possible carrier is a major cable network, that has never aired pro wrestling.

We hope to provide you with further information as it becomes available.

So, it's the same old with the two hour slot? I want them to get it done already, but I defenitley don't (and I know you don't either highheat) want it to be on a Monday. I hope Jarrett backed off his original idea and I pray Spike doesn't buckle.

I wonder what the other cable network is. FX perhaps? If I'm not mistaken, MyNetworkTV has even less clearance than Spike. I might be wrong about that, though.

Nope, I want Wednesday's 8-10 now that Lost is at 10. The heck with the Monday night wars thing, not that there would be another. I'm enjoying all of wrestling right now, well except for ECW, don't even watch that crap. Raw's been good, Smackdown is great, and TNA is my cup of tea. FX would be awesome. I just can't imagine another TNA show on top of Impact. That would be kick a**!!!!!

I'm with you guys on not airing on Mondays. TNA does not need to be consumed with trying to compete with Vince but instead putting out an enjoyable show and developing storylines better. Getting rid of Russo's dumb a** would be a start.

They will die a quick death by going on Mondays. It's way too early imo to even try.

TNA needs to trim tons of the fat before they can really be a major force.

I agree, trying to compete with the WWE on Monday night is just ********. IIRC, the one Thursday night they went up against WWE they lost half of their audience and drew like a .5 rating. They have a nice little niche now, perhaps in time they can grow but for the foreseeable future going head to head with the WWE would mean death for TNA.

With the way UFC has been getting alot of tv time on spike i wouldnt be surprised if Tna tries to go to another network and get a better timeslot or 2 hours. It reminded me of when ecw went to spike and was basically a opening show for that stupid roller derby crap they showed afterwards and it killed the original ecw and i fear tna is being used the same way or even worse so maybe changing networks wouldnt hurt
