I wouldn't be surprised to see punk do a ROH show or two. But I doubt he commits even part time to them. I think he just needs a break from wrestling period. He's leaving WWE on good terms(his promo tonight proved that) and will come back when he's ready.

I truly think Vince is going to let Punk go out with bang. Punk = money and Vince knows this. No other heel has been that over with the crowd since the Attitude Era. He will come back one day but for now other then a ROH show just for fun I think he wants nothing to do with wrestling.

Maybe I'm over analyzing the situation but tonight he called himself "the best wrestler in the world". Wrestler is a HUGE no no in the WWE. He won the #1 contender match and will face Cena at the PPV in July. That tells me two things.

1. They try and pull a Montreal screw job to leave the door open for Punk.

2. He does what I want him to do. Go off the script and goes out like the badass he truly is.

Like I said Punk is great, but you guys make him out to be some wrestling god who's carrying the company. Sorry if I sound a bit salty, just get tired of you guys worshiping him ad nauseum around here.

In ring Punk is great but people here act like there's no one in his league and he's by far the best. Mysterio, Jericho (before he left), Cena (I know I'm gonna get **** for that one, but it's true), Bryan, Christian are all guys in his league. I'm not saying Punk sucks, just that it won't be the colossal loss him leaving that some of his fans are making it out to be.

Punk is great but he's not the wrestling god his fans are treating him like. My argument isn't that Punk sucks, he is great, but just like nearly anyone in the company outside of Cena, he is replaceable and his spot on the card can easily be filled.

I know to be cool around here you have to do stuff like love Punk at every stop and fit Zack Ryder references in whenever you can. Sorry if I don't think Punk is the best thing to happen to wrestling since Bruno Sanmartino. He's great, but not irreplaceable, that's my only point when I see people talk about what a huge loss he will be.

The only guy I'd say who is as strong as Punk both in-ring and micwork would be Christian. Guys like Cena, Miz, and Del Rio aren't there in-ring while guys like Rey, Bryan, and Ziggler aren't there on the mic. Not that I think these guys' work is bad, just a notch or two lower than Punk's. Losing Punk would really suck but there's always someone waiting in the wings for a shot on the main stage. On RAW it would be Drew McIntyre, who was getting really good during his last run on SmackDown.

All I know is for me personally CM Punk is the only reason I watch Raw anymore. So once hes gone I'm leaving with him. I just don't enjoy the product as much as I have in the past. But like you said CM Punk leaving won't slow down the WWE machine.

I'll agree that not many guys are as strong w/ the combination of in ring work and mic work as Punk. But like you said there's always someone waiting in line, and right now WWE has a surplus of heels waiting for their shot at the top.

Barrett, Ziggler, McIntyre, Swagger are all on deck in the next year or so for big pushes, and Sheamus is always a guy who can be plugged in when necessary. I'm not saying that the company won't miss Punk, just that it isn't the death blow that some are making it seem.

Also I want to retierate that if Punk does something like go off the script 'to be badass' then his days in the WWE would be done for good, and it won't be his own choice either.

I don't think that's going to happen. The shocker will be if he actually wins the WWE title. This could be nulled by the MITB winner cashing in the same night, or it could lead to the WWE version of "The Summer of Punk" angle used during his last run in ROH. I've read that his contract doesn't expire till September, so I'm hoping for the latter.

Cena was what Punk is now imo, but they ruined that when they decided he was gonna be the face of the company. But like it's been said there is always someone waiting to be the next guy

I don't think that's going to happen. The shocker will be if he actually wins the WWE title. I think there is a strong chance the latter will happen.
