Several weeks ago, we reported that Jericho was in talks for a WWE return around WrestleMania time. There’s is also talk backstage that a possible return match would be against The Miz. Along from a source we’ve heard from exclusively here at WrestleHeat.com as well as reports from the Pro Wrestling Torch and PWInsider.com, a return looks all but certain at this point. As indicated by his tweet above, Jericho is no longer flat-out denying the allegations online, but is rather staying vague to his followers.
The heavily hyped bout is not expected to be for the title because WWE brass feel the finish would be too obvious since fans don’t expect The Rock to leave WrestleMania as champion.
Cena will reportedly be removed from the title picture following Sunday’s Vengeance pay-per-view, which would indicate that Alberto Del Rio will retain the title in their Last Standing Match. Cena will begin building towards his partnership with The Rock at Survivor Series while Del Rio is expected to enter a program with Punk.
In addition, PWInsider.com reports that Foley will also be booked for the RAW and SmackDown! broadcasts the week after the Survivor Series pay-per-view on Nov. 21 and Nov. 25.
