Re: The OS WWE 'Dirt' Thread

Earlier this week, we reported that Chris Jericho is telling friends and former colleagues that he’s in talks with WWE officials about returning to the organization in time to set up a match at next year’s WrestleMania 28. WWE’s first-ever Undisputed champion has acknowledged the report – and wrote the following on Twitter on Thursday night: “After discussing this with my colleagues,my response to today’s rumor is: a) false b) true c) maybe d) all of the above e) none of the above”

Several weeks ago, we reported that Jericho was in talks for a WWE return around WrestleMania time. There’s is also talk backstage that a possible return match would be against The Miz. Along from a source we’ve heard from exclusively here at WrestleHeat.com as well as reports from the Pro Wrestling Torch and PWInsider.com, a return looks all but certain at this point. As indicated by his tweet above, Jericho is no longer flat-out denying the allegations online, but is rather staying vague to his followers.

According to a PWTorch report, WWE RAW star CM Punk is in “top consideration” for the WWE Championship Match at WrestleMania XXVIII since company officials are leaning against the title being on the line in the match pitting John Cena against The Rock.

The heavily hyped bout is not expected to be for the title because WWE brass feel the finish would be too obvious since fans don’t expect The Rock to leave WrestleMania as champion.

Cena will reportedly be removed from the title picture following Sunday’s Vengeance pay-per-view, which would indicate that Alberto Del Rio will retain the title in their Last Standing Match. Cena will begin building towards his partnership with The Rock at Survivor Series while Del Rio is expected to enter a program with Punk.

Yesterday, we noted that the website for where WWE RAW is emanating from on Nov. 14 is noting that Mick Foley will be returning to the company on that night. While that looks to be all but confirmed at this point, WWE typically does not look fondly of leaked returns/storyline plans, so don’t be surprised if the company decides to have him return at a different point in order to play the Internet. It does look like his return will be on that date, however.

In addition, PWInsider.com reports that Foley will also be booked for the RAW and SmackDown! broadcasts the week after the Survivor Series pay-per-view on Nov. 21 and Nov. 25.

Punk/Bryan for the WWE Title at WrestleMania. Please make it happen, WWE.

well, its been over 15 years. But...

            It's in Boston
            It's a 3 hour show
            Rock will be there
            Foley could be there
It's the go home for Survivor Series

I never thought I'd say this again, I'm getting tickets to Raw.

An interview Cena did on the Howard Stern show has surfaced on youtube. It's Howard Stern so I don't think I can post it here but it's not hard to find.

Del Rio-Punk at WM for the strap?

Not sure how I feel about that one...

I highly doubt Del Rio holds the title til WM though.

@goh - listened to the Cena interview (from 06). Funny stuff. Youtube link was posted on this date last year (Oct 24, 2010), so maybe that's why you thought it had 'just' surfaced.

WWE has removed all advertising that stated Mick Foley would be at the November 13th edition of Raw in Boston, Massachusetts. The theme of the "Rock Reunion" has also been pulled. Advertising appeared on both the WWE website and the TD Garden websites.

This is not a surprise to anyone paying a bit of attention. Foley is signing autographs at a remarkably sketchy tattoo parlor in my town that week and is doing comedy sets at social clubs (like, a tier below the Elks lodge) throughout November. He is advertising a set in nyc about 8 minutes after Survivor Series. It would be the swerve of all swerves if he appears at any upcoming event this or any year.

And most recently it's been confirmed that he will not.

They were advertising it without ever actually talking to Foley about it. I bet he appears soon, though.

How recently because they advertised the Boston show 4 times last night and every time listed that Foley would be there.
