Re: The OS WWE 'Dirt' Thread
I mean I guess it's a good thing as I don't blame my hating on Raw lately on him specifically as much as the writers.Saints, LSU, Seminoles, Pelicans, Marlins, LightningComment

Re: The OS WWE 'Dirt' Thread
Triple H being in control won't change that much. It is the writers that need replacing. So Triple H may call for fewer rewrites, but it won't get better until we get some better storylines.Comment

Re: The OS WWE 'Dirt' Thread
It's a very good thing because last night didn't actually suck. Got a bunch of really good matches and some nice storyline pieces to slowly advance some of the stories instead of blowing their load early and ruining it.Comment

Re: The OS WWE 'Dirt' Thread
I've heard many times there's just too many cooks in the kitchen. Writers have "good" ideas but they end up getting watered down or changed because others come along with their own ideas etc. Having constant rewrites and all that must only add to the mess.I won't ask for Christmas or birthday gifts if you subscribe to the Operation Sports Newsletter (Not Just Another Roster Update). I write it, and it hits your inbox every Friday morning (for freeeeeee). We also have an official OS Discord you can now join.Comment

Re: The OS WWE 'Dirt' Thread
I agree. Monday was better than some, but worse than some we've had recently as well. Had it been absolutely outstanding and the best thing we've seen, I think there would be a point to saying Triple H in charge was a good thing, but one is not a trend, no matter how good some may think it is.Comment

Re: The OS WWE 'Dirt' Thread
My problem with Raw is the show just feels lifeless. Live crowds are laughable compared to what we've seen in the past. Their lack of enthusiasm on live television hurts the product. I start getting bored because of the lack of excitement the crowds are showing.
A hot live crowd can make all the difference in a wrestling match. They can help elevate a good match. At the same time them sitting there on their hands, with closed mouths takes away from a match.
I find Raw much more enjoyable if I DVR and watch later on in the week. Maybe because subconsciously I know what I'm watching isn't live, so it does not bother me as much.
Sitting there for 3+ hours on a Monday night is painful.
It's frustrating too now that the E has injected so many fresh, new talents that I find enjoyable. The attention tag team wrestling has been getting and Dolph's rise to main event status.
But even with so much going on to like, the product still feels stale. I can't fully invest when those in the arena aren't doing the same.Comment

Re: The OS WWE 'Dirt' Thread
Great Khali and his manager Hornswaggle facing David Otunga really got the crowd going during the SD tapings this week.
Need new writers AND need people to not undercut them.
The voice over guy and Fandango are both apparently Vince's fault.
Obviously the "scandal" angle is the soap opera writers fault.
Who in their right mind puts Khali and Otunga out there when all but 1 guy on the entire roster is better in ring? Otunga should never be in the ring and I don't even know how Khali and Hornswaggle are still employed.Comment

Re: The OS WWE 'Dirt' Thread
Otunga should be in the ring, just not with Khali. He's been better lately when he just focuses on clotheslines and so on -- he wasn't so bad with Sheamus for example.
Otunga is around because he's good out of the ring, the hope is the in-ring stuff catches up over time.
Khali and 'Swoggle are probably employed because, Vince.I won't ask for Christmas or birthday gifts if you subscribe to the Operation Sports Newsletter (Not Just Another Roster Update). I don't really consider that a spoiler as I didn't give away the result nor anything on the show that could've potentially led to it.Comment

Ignoring the Punk incident, we were all pretty hyped (except Dayman at one point) near the end of that thread. That Sacremento crowd was fantastic.Originally posted by BlueNGoldI feel weird for liking a post about exposed penises.Comment
